I'm somehow thinking that the media shouldn't be allowed to do as much as they are. Back in WWII half the shit thats happening would have never been found out, and then everyone would have been happy. All the media is doing is twisting things that look bad, to make us look even worse. Why would our own media want that to happen to our country. I'm setting sail for media censorship, who wants to board ship with me?

the media isn't making this shit up, it's lame to blame the media for reporting something, the media isn't the problem, what happens is.
cover ups and the media looking the other way on things just because they don't make you feel all warm and fuzzy would be worse.

You said it yourself, why would the media want that to happen to our country?
Don't blame the media for reporting events that are happening.
Media censorship is one of the dumbest ideas there is.

The media does tend to take the stories and sensationalize them, or only focus on the side that will benefit them, but that's hardly grounds for censorship. As voters and citizens of a democratic republic, we need to know what's going on. And that means hearing both sides of the story and trying to form our own opinion. Media censorship kills all that.

Now that's a pretty fascist post.
To even suggest such things is asinine. This post is pretty un-American.

Yes hearing both sides and forming your own opinion would be great in a perfect world. But with so much bias in the media, good luck doing so.

the media does show the good side of things in iraq, and generally gives officials plenty of oppritunity to put the proper spin on things.seems you just don't want the other side of things shown.
The only underlying bias the media has is bias towards higher readership/viewership. They report things that will grab people's attention, unfortunately, in this country people's interests are piqued by blood and guts and scandals. Most of the owners and publishers in the news media are republicans, while a higher percentage of reporters are liberal than conservative. However, most journalists consider themselves moderates. The liberal media bias myth is one of the biggest, and most well conceived scams in recent memory. Kudos to conservatives for beating the drum so loud that no one notices that liberal has become a dirty word. It always amuses me that the so-called liberal media welcomes conservatives pundits with open arms. I guess they just feel bad for republicans, those poor guys just can't a fair shake.
