Well, it's official. Waking Ashland (http://www.wakingashland.com) are now my favorite unsigned band. This means that all you crazy record label people need to sign the band so that I have to work hard at finding another. I have uploaded the high-resolution album cover here (http://forum.absolutepunk.net/mm/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=&pos=1), and a wallpaper for the band here (http://forum.absolutepunk.net/mm/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pos=0).

HAHA, I beat Jason to the punch on these guys, I heard about them like a full two weeks ago...but seriously, good call man, these guys rock my socks off, my favorite new discovery of the year. The EP was just the kind of music needed after finals

i dont know in my opinion these guys are super lame. Its like a bunch of guys who work at hollister decided to start a band and write the cheeziest lyrics ever.

I think you would be better served listening to copeland

What's your definition of Cheezy? The Beatles, Elvis, Guns N Roses -- all have quite "cheesy" lyrics when taken out of context. And yes, Copeland does rule, but they also have a record contract.

Guys, Copeland is friggin amazing, I'll admit it, but they have their props. Waking Ashland has not yet received them. As a side note, Waking Ashland = Big City Dreams in terms of quality. I'd have a hard time deciding between the two similar bands on which is better of the two unsigned bands. Both are amazing. Buy their albums.

yea its cool your promoteing them, im just saying that i listened to "dont give up" by them and i took it into context it was just pretty lame i think "dont give up your not thinking, dont give up just keep seeking" i dont know to me it sounds kind of lame. Even some bands i listen to have lame lyrics, but i think waking ashland to me (especially in the chorus of dont give up) mix some lame music with lame lyrics. It just rubbed me the wrong way i guess

I like Waking Ashland. I kinda thought they were cheesy at first, but I really enjoy them now. About 2 months ago or somethin I bought one of those 500 ep's they had (iamforyou). Is that picture of the actual album cover.. if so, when's that comin out?

Hawthorne Heights is good too. Sorry, that was random but I just saw an add for them.. right after the add for the new TBS album. <3

You can order the Waking Ashland EP at SmartPunk now. The official release doesn't have the "All Hands on Deck" acoustic track that is on the limited edition EP.

I agree, Hawthorne Heights is good. :)

Waking Ashland is very good. lol, and they're pretty far from Hollister... I don't even know if we have one out here, if we do, I've never seen it.

and yeah, I saw Hawthorne Heights a few days ago... they were pretty good
