Even though 9/11 was during his presidency. And maybe not on our soil, so that means Bali, Madrid, and the tube bombings are just unimportant.

People like this only reinforce the truly pathetic and disturbing path "conservatives" have chosen to take. I think everyone, Republicans and Democrats, can both agree that this is absolutely disgusting and while we've seen grandstanding from Bush in reference to 9/11, at least he has never taken it quite to this level. I say leave it up as a constant reminder of how completely dysfunctional this country has become and why we need change.

please note i said "conservatives" i.e. the people who identify themselves as such, not the beliefs/principals that may be conservative. There's a difference.

A conservative is the person who put up the billboard so I'd say it has a lot to do with it. I don't associate this person with the Republican party because he was clearly acting on his own (nor do they endorse it as stated) but I think it's pretty safe to say anyone who is "pro-Iraq" and Bush's "war on terror" falls into the conservative mindframe. Not saying everyone who has one or two conservative principals falls into this camp, but those who actively support this kind of bullshit clearly fall to the right.

I'm gonna go with you're wrong.

"Being pro-Iraq" or supporting the "war on terror" have absolutely nothing to do with the point of this thread and why it is disturbing. Also, your statement that "those who actively support this kind of bullshit clearly fall to the right" was pretty dumb as well.

HA are you serious? Did you SEE the sign?! Did you READ the article?? I think being "Pro-Iraq" and supporting the "war on terror" has a LOT to do with the reason this sign exists and why it is so disturbing.

According to Meehan, President Bush has done "an excellent job ... going after these terrorists."

And anyone who would support this bullshit the sign displays would fall to the right because I'm pretty sure no liberal and/or Democrat would (or actual Republican for that matter) would actually agree with it's message.

To be fair, being "Pro-Iraq" and supporting "the war on terror" is only why the sign exists, it's only disturbing because it uses an image of 9/11.

Wow, this guy is crazy! Nobody is to blame for 9/11 except Osama bin Laden and his cronies. As for why he wasn't taken out beforehand... I think the man has proven since 9/11 that he is not the kind of guy you can just kill. I mean, this dude is so misguided. Listen, I respect Bush. After 9/11, being President must have become the hardest job in the world (I mean, harder than usual). But to say that he is doing an "excellent job" is... ridiculously wrong.

Anyway, I do agree that this has nothing to do with Iraq. Iraq is not about 9/11, and it never was. This has to do with some crazy right wing conservative crazy that has gone way too far. Yes, I did say crazy twice.

You have got to be fucking joking me, you absolute lunatic.

You call me arrogant, when you are the one making wild claims that are backed up by websites run by conspiracy theorists who have nothing better to do with their lives than twist facts and think they are really "uncovering America." I pay attention to the theory b.s. because I find conspiracy theories interesting, but being a journalist, (and this is key, so pay the fuck attention), I NEED SOME CONCRETE FUCKING FACTS.

You watch your fucking YouTube clips of women screaming about non U.S. planes flying into the WTC when they are 10 FUCKING MILES from the actual building. You rant and rave about a few websites on the internet and suddenly you've uncovered some great fucking truth that has alluded us all. YOU. KNOW. DICK.

And don't talk to me about having too much faith in my government, you obviously missed the posts in this forum where I talk about how this administration, along with the help of the neo-conservatives, are trying to privatize the military, crush the lines between church and state, and turn this country into a theocracy. Furthermore, I was raised to question authority by my parents, who also instilled me the notion to learn, so calling me ignorant is way off base.

Furthermore, look at my location. DO YOU REALLY THINK I DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING ON IN THE WORLD AROUND ME?!? Laws are made a spitting distance from my doorstep. You can't get a drink in this town without knowing what the hell is going on in the world. But I must not have a clue.

So, boss, to sum it up, go fuck yourself, because you and your wild, outlandish opinions are just as bad to this country as the billboard which started this thread.

ok so because of where you live it means you know everything about the world? thats total bull shit. im glad you question authority but lets be honest, the way you reacted further shows your arrogance. i hate the entire world and everyone in it because all of us, me included, are arrogant people who dont even realize it. conspiracy or not, you can look up the old articles from september 11th 2001 where they identified the plain as united 93 in cleveland. and maybe an eye witness acount of somebody miles away on youtube is by no means an end all case-closed answer to a case, but i wasnt referring to any youtube video. people who say they were non-us plains on the streets of new york? the amount of people on the streets of new york who are misinformed and saw something because its what they WANTED to see is probably pretty close to the amount of people who think just becuase they live in DC means they know everything happening in the world. and documentarys such as loose change or the beloved zietgest on this site (which i havent even seen) for the most part bring in experts and first hand accounts.

every first hand account for 93 in pa saw something different. some saw figheter plains shoot down a commercial airline, some saw a plain just go down, some saw fighters just launch missles, its all different. also, the fact that the government could just shut people the fuck up if they show the footage of the 'plain' hitting the pentagon but refuse to...is a little fucking odd

and if your criticizing me blaiming bilderberg for the world's problems, that organization is 100% real and you cant even deny it.

i dont give a fuck if your a jounralist or a garbage man, just by looking at your profile made me shake my head. "living the dream cause i wake up at noon" "interests: drinking a lot of beer" wow. your clearly better than me. these facts may be irrelevant to the conversation but how you chewed me out just now was ridiculous. ive examined the evidance on both sides of things and you or any other have no right to criticize my opinion on it

It's a corporate/political conference that doesn't differ from most other NGO's. It has existed since the 50's. So I guess The Cold War, The Bay of Pigs, Vietnam, The Kennedy assassinations, The Challenger explosion, Oklahoma City, The Unabomber, Crack, the first WTC bombing, Columbine, Elvis, and Tupac must be all to blame on Bilderberg, too, right? bilderberg is a fraternity of wealthy, powerful, self-proclaimed elitists. they were responsible for the eu and basicaly dictate many of world foreign policies. if they are for the good of the people, why would they not release any info from the meetings?

The article posted was timestamped at 11:43. I don't know if Cincinnati is Eastern or Central time, but even in Central time, let's say for the sake of the argument its Central. The article says it's "deeply concerned" with Flight 175. Flight 175 was long gone before this article would have been posted, or even written, considering the timing of the emergency landing. The time frame doesn't add up.

there was no way of knowing which plains were involved until every plain in the air was either located or grounded and then identified

Besides the fact that you have the spelling and paragraph structure of a toddler, not to mention you probably have no idea what a homonym is, but saying I have "abandoned any form of civil discussion" just because I attacked your argument and shot it to shit is wrong.

No, the planes were identified rather quickly, it was 2001, not 1940 where they had to check actual flight log books. The internet was around, and they knew what flights hit that building relatively quickly. Your "credible source" is a crock of shit.

Cool, now that you are leaving, you can go pick up a dictionary and differentiate between "plain" and "plane." And "being close-minded" =/= "believing every stupid conspiracy website on the internet." Read TIME or the Washington Post instead of, well, whatever it is preying on your weak mind.

no it doesnt. the patriots embody everything wrong with professional sports, they do whatever it takes to win and rub other team's noses in the turf every chance they get, they have no class.

and what makes mainstream news so great? i believe mainstream news sources are the ones that publish the political cartoons with barack obama as a terrorist in the oval office and stir up all kinds of shit, and they're the kind of organizations that exclude ron paul from the debates when he is fund raising more than most candidates in the race. im pretty sure theyre pretty close minded too and report what they're told to.

and like i said, my spelling mistakes (like i said, all A's in english classes and it is the internet so i doesnt really matter) do nothing to reflect my intelligence or my english abilities.

i came back cause you attacked my knowledge of sports too. bills kicked their ass this year and your genius coach is the reason they lost. and yeah, bills havent been the best team in the league over the past few years but im also a pack fan, and they have been.

The genius coach who beat the Bills in a Superbowl during his career? And you are a Bills fan or Packers fan? That's a bad sports fan right there, pick one team and stick with them.

Also, sports is a different forum, stay relevant.

nfc afc. two conferances. a lot of people have two teams. if it came down to it, id go bills in a superbowl versus the two unless favre was back for another season because prior to the past 2 weeks, i think he embodied the last of the genuine athletes who play for love of the game and for pride and not for the all-mighty dollar

Actually Clinton had a chance to apprehend Bin Laden. That's a well known fact.

This is true, Clinton actually had 8 chances with solid intelligence.

OK, it was a definite mistake on his part, but I still would not blame him for 9/11. And this silly billboard guy shouldn't generalize all democrats as negligent because of Clinton's mistake.

is anyone else as confused as I am.....George Bush is a Republican, 2001 he was in office....so how again was there a Democratic president during this? I'm baffled as to this guy's political logic.

There is no logic involved in any Republican's views. However, he's attempting to convey his (ignorant) opinion by stating that if a Republican (Bob Dole) were president during Clinton's time in office, 9/11 would've never occurred.

I fucking hate how people blame 9/11, gas prices, and even global warming on Bush. Even if Kerry was in office, it still would've happen.

If anything, gas prices are partially his fault. A majority of our gasoline is supplied by countries in the middle east. If we didn't start a war in their territory, they wouldn't have been pissed at us and wouldn't have raised oil prices. Plus the fact that gasoline is becoming more expensive because of supply and demand (supply being lowered because of all the gas we're putting into the war -- think about all the tanks, aircrafts, etc. that are "helping" us to "'win' the war").

Oh, and to add to the list of bad things caused by Bush: the economy has been screwing up ever since the war started (which was Bush's idea) because of all the millions of dollars we spend daily on the war.

I'm being called dumb by a guy that said Flight 93 landed in Cleveland.

Hahahaha, this gave me a laugh.

yeah boss. again your being incredibly arrogant. united airlines identified flight 93 for making an emergency landing (all plains were called out of the air after they hit the towers). you can still look up the articles. you have too much faith in your government, they're corrupt and only want money. your ignorant to the world around you just like everybody else in the world, which is ok. maybe its time to look into some other things boss.

You know, if he were your "boss" I think you'd treat him with a bit more respect. Choose your words wisely.
