An AP reader wanted to find out if we would ever be able to hear anything else besides "Whispering Actually" from Ace Ender's (The Early November (http://www.theearlynovember.net)) side project, I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business, by writing the producer of the album, Chris Badami. This is what was revealed:

Hey Ben,
Thanks for writing. The I Can Make a Mess record is absolutely amazing and hopefully it will be released some day. I not only produced and engineered it but I also played drums on all but one song. Within the next month or so there will be audio samples on the portrait recording studios website and I will be putting up one song other than whispering actually on the website. I'm not sure which one yet because there are 5 songs but there is a lot going on with this record right now regarding permission so, hopefully you will see something up soon. Unfortunately, that is the best I can do.

i remember reading somewhere else that it is suspended indefinitely and that the songs will be turned into T.E.N songs. in that case, im not sure if it will ever get released unless on the next T.E.N CD

what a frustratingly evasive response. i really enjoyed whispering actually. ace sounded great. so, what the hell is the point of saying how "absolutely amazing" the ep is if we may never hear it?
i get the feeling i'm not getting the whole story.

i know the guy, Ben, who wrote the letter asking the producer. He was so geared up for the album and is always on the internet carrusing for new bands. He told me that the mess song was totally different from anything TEN had released which was surprising because I thought it would just be acoutstic TEN stuff. Interesting.

Hi, Ace told me at a show that that stuff will prob be relesed as a double cd release. Hopefully that means they may play some of it live when it comes out, but who knows.

Hi i was the one that had sent the email to the producer Chris because I just didnt want to have to wait for TEN to make another CD before we could hear anything of the Mess CD. Because i have heard that They will be releasing it as a double disc but I had listened to Richard Reines from drive thru a couple months back on KCSR radio on Goes On Clear and they had played alot of unreleased drive thru songs and basically like they played The Starting Line doing a Bjork cover for the tribute album Chad from NFG is putting together and that was way rad and then they played a song off of the Mess CD and it wasnt Whispering Actually and it was really amazing and so i had emailed everyone from the station asking about the recording hopefully so i could hear it again because that night of the broadcast was the same night as the stream and alot of people couldnt get it soo i wanted to make it soo that we could all have a chance to hear it and then I emailed the producer about it and that was his reply and yea basically I think thats cool that they will be having some samples so we know what to expect but If anyone has a copy of that broadcast or of that song they played or anything and be willing to reply to this or post it or IM it to me that would be great thanks

It's not evasive at all, Chris has no idea what's gonna happen with the CD. He only produced it, he's not in charge of what happens. No shit you're not getting the whole story, he's not either.
