I've been playing in bands for a few years and I've been trying to piece together exactly how that works. From what I've been able to gather:
1) you sign up for a profile in a given area
2) bands are selected for each date by a signed/nationally known band in their area. some people probably arent aware of this, but it's true. i also know a music store was used to pick in my area a year or two ago.
3) you play at your selected date (if chosen)
4) who picks the band that play in LA? im sure its not just online voting, these are industry people you play for and they are looking for a money maker.
anyone else with insight (if they are/know who picks the bands in their area etc) could contribute I would appreciate it.
