Hey all, been a lurker of the site for quite some time and decided to finally join up.
I've been looking for a new band to get into, but havn't had much luck with some of the ones I've tried. Was hoping maybe some of you guys could recommend one. I'm looking for something in the same vein as Alkaline Trio, Bayside, Say Anything, Brand New, etc.
I also enjoy some more chill music along the lines of Ben Harper, Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, etc...so if you have a recommendation along those lines I'd also like to hear it.
Thanks.

Hmm...an epic fail right off the bat. Thanks for the tip, I'll take it over there.
you are fine asking for recs here, there is more action in this forum. you'll get what you are looking for right away I'm sure. baring any users being douchebags of course.

This.
But... you should listen to Weatherbox. They get a lot of comparisons to Say Anything but they're really different at the same time. Brian Warren (their lead singer) has the best lyrics in the scene right now.

No problem and your fail really wasn't epic haha. It literally happens everyday.

Thanks...I've got "Aside" by The Weakerthans on my ipod cause my ex liked it, but that's about all I've heard. Heard of Sufjan Stevens but never listened to him...any songs to go after first? Never heard of The Graduate...songs?
