All he did was post a news story, whats wrong with that? He didnt say the police were wrong for following doing it. They are lucky it wasnt done in the US becuase with the Patriot Act they could have locked the guy up for months for that message, rather than admiting their mistake.

they didn't make any mistake, the guy sent the message to the wrong person (the lyrics are pretty intense for some random person to get). It's just a funny story, the cops went to check it out and found out it was Clash lyrics. Or maybe its the government's fault for not having a Clash Lyric Specialist on the force...

Yah, I didn't post this to be "political" - I posted it because it was The Clash, and I found it humorous ... not everything is black and white Grendal, if there are truly only two sides, we are fucked.

Out of the 2,325 posts I have made, I am bound to have made a few mistakes - so sue me. When you have over 2 thousand posts we'll check your spelling on everything and put it under a microscope. I make mistakes, I am not "Jason the Spelling Master" - a simple, "uh, a not an e" works fine.

Very good follow-up Jason; instead of taking some simple advice, you decide to turn it around and point out an error I have made. Splendid.
Now, first of all, it was not my intention to come off as an ass. Maybe whenever you see someone offering criticism, you take it as an insult. I apologize for that. Second of all, what you pointed out was a forum post I made. Forum posts are likely to have some mistyped words in them. The newspage is not a forum. The newspage is a place where individuals come to see updates on artists, and being a publication, we sometimes expect that the author of these newsposts will take the time to double check their update, or paste it into MS Word and use spell check. It's what I call professionalism. Please notice that the newspost I submitted for your website that you referred to contained no spelling errors, just the forum comment I made. Also, you do not just make "a few mistakes". You tend to make them frequently, and this is not the first time someone has corrected you, or stated that you should spellcheck.
I was just hoping in the future you could be more careful so that what I read is the newspost, not the typo, because glaring errors catch my eye easily.
Thank you.

shut up. you complain about typos distracting you from the news, yet you come into a news post about The Clash and totally distract everyone from The Clash to talk about this meaningless/irrelevant/ bullshit. If you dont like the "unprofessionalism" of tate's posts that dont read them..scroll right over them, or dont come to the site.
P.s. speaking of proofreading, its obvious you didnt do this with your post, bc if you did, you'd realize how incredibly annoying it was.

Yes, understandable. I didn't even notice that I referred to you by your surname, because on this site more people refer to you as Tate than Jason and I assumed that it was acceptable. That I will apologize for. I know it is human to make mistakes, and I expect that mistakes will be made. I was just stating that they are too frequent for my liking, and I wish that you would take 10 seconds after each post and look over it. If you choose to not do that, then that is your decision and I respect that.
And to the other people that posted, I'm sorry that you hate someone making a correction to a newspost, and find it hilarious that when someone talks about a spelling mistake in a post, you call it "meaningless/irrelevant/ bullshit", when I've seen countless comments that have nothing to do with anything related to punk, this site, or anything worthwhile at all.

I made one post about the error. The rest were just defending myself for people getting pissed off at me for trying to make a correction. All of a sudden I'm a prick when I haven't once insulted anyone or resorted to name calling like most people who get into stupid arguments on forums.

As I already said... spelling or grammatical errors in forums are different than errors on a news page. The forum is a place of conversation and bickering over why you're punker than me, while the news page is a place for news articles, press releases, and the likes.
And another thing... where did I use a comma after because? I just looked over my posts and didn't notice one with that mistake.
(I also wonder if Jason is going to give Tyler a warning about using his surname when it's a post defending him...)

it could BAD...or EXTREME. Both of those words totally change the meaning of a sentence. saying to someone "you have an extreme habit"...or you have a "bad habit" is a lot different than saying "you have a habit". So don't tell someone the word 'terrible" is uncalled for or disrespectful to say in the context that it was used...bc it played a big part in the meaning/point of the sentence.
