Maybe I am way behind the times here, but I finally had some time to watch FUSE and see the latest videos, when I noticed that Forever the Sickest Kids were on...so I figured, "you know...i hear they're growing in popularity, so let me see this song/video."
Instantly I started to laugh. Haha the video has got to be one of the laziest, boring video for a song that is the definition of lame ever.
I'm all up for songs with "woah's" and "ohhhhs"...and of course "oi's"
...but this chorus was ridiculous. Of course it's catchy...but I mean, a 5year old could write a song like that.
But I digress...back to the video. All the video is the band just like, rocking out at a race track. Wtf? When a band has their first real, big video...it tells the person a lot about the kind of band they are...and all I got was, hmm...they like to play shows at race tracks.
Like they didn't try to make the video funny, relevant, different, original, or even showing off their stage presence in a live video montage.
Maybe I'm being too harsh...but I mean, its almost as lame as a bands first video taking place at like a high school party. But i'm sure, at least that video would have a few laughs in it.
Then I read an interview talking about, "how they were happy to have a lot of control over this video" Haha and then there are a bunch of clips of people putting tires on, revving engines, and fans in the crowd. So I learned that forever the sickest kids are really into tires?
Chalk this band on the list of bands that will be extremely irrelevant in about..3 years. IF THAT

well, they are from texas. texas does love nascar. other then that, i can't defend them. i thought the video was mediocre, but i wasn't expecting anything great from the get-go.

If NASCAR dissolved my state would be screwed. It's one of (if not the) the most profitable enterprizes we've got. But disregarding that, I agree. Plus, it's so fucking loud.

They go slow as fuck, so I'm not guessing very well. Amish people in buggies go faster than tractors and the FFA kids think they're so cool for driving them. And people wonder why they call Danville "Hickville".

Yeah true but golf carts having seating for 4+ people which is nice. Where I went to college there were horse and buggies everywhere on Sundays going to church just south of town. Horse poop everywhere obv.

The point of a fucking music video is to promote the band and you are still thinking about it and you even made a thread about it on the internet. It may be negative advertisement, but it's still advertisement.

I disagree with the notion that negative advertisement can in anyway help the band...
by viewing the video, and hearing the song. I am turned off by the band, and do not plan on supporting them in any way. Now...maybe by my boredness? and decision to post about it, helped their cause....but the original reaction to the video can not help the band.
