Sorry, if there's a post about it...i highly doubt it....
but, im just pointing out that there's a free show this Saturday in Brooklyn, called the Siren Festival. This is the 7th year? running I believe. I know I have gone the past 3 years, but i think its seven. Anyhoo, it used to be in coney island but they changed locations...here are the bands btw:
Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks
Broken Social Scene
Ra Ra Riot
Islands
The Helio Sequence
Previous years have had: New York Dolls, MIA, Cursive, Scissor Sisters, Tapes N' Tapes, Man Man, Spoon, MAtes of State, be your own pet.
I think this is easily one of the weaker line-ups of the festival, and now that it's not in coney island i'm really blahhh about the whole thing.
Anyhoo, this is a good place to post about the festival if you're going, hate it, love it...blah. Idk.
