I only have their self-titled, but it's such a beautiful album (even if I'm two years late, again). 'Auburn and Ivory' is such a haunting song.

Yeah I guess you could say it's forgettable, but a couple of songs stick out to me. I can't get enough of the old-record feel to the singer's voice.

Devotion was a step in the right direction. Hopefully, they pick up on that and make a really, really good album next time out.

I'm gonna go ahead and echo Vinh.

I like to put on this record (Devotion) every now and again when it's nice out and I'm just hanging around (funnily enough most of these occasions have been at an actual beach house,) but I can't go back and say "oh, I love THAT song!"

I still listen to Devotion a lot, I think it's a heaps good album.

that's because this album works better as a cohesive whole than as a collection of individual songs, as do most records in this genre. anyway, i used to hate beach house but they've kind of grown on me. hoping to catch the free pool party with grizzly bear in august.

I too just listened to their S/T the first time the other night, and I admittedly found it fairly boring to start, but it had a mood overall that I feel I could go back to.

Yeah I found it overall enjoyable, but lost interest at times. I've been told they improved with each album, so I shall see.

I haven't listened to them too much, but as of right now... I'm in agreement with the both of you. The hype people were spreading could have something to do with it not being as great as I read about.

My favorite of their's is Keep It Like A Secret but you can't go wrong with Perfect From Now On or There's Nothing Wrong With Love.

I haven't had enough time to revisit Mirrored. I def will today though.
