Can someone please explain to me how I can tweak my bass signal I recorded to get a sound like this,

the very rough, clangy sound. can I do it with guitar rig or something?
some songs that have what i'm talking about are

I can't listen to it, but if you're looking for what I think you are, cut out a lot of the bass and boost high frequencies (especially around 800 or 1600 hz) and add a bit of light, crunchy distortion if you want.
Edit:
Never mind, I'm thinking of a different sound than you are. What kind of bass are you recording with? Are you recording through an amp or DI?
Still try what I said with the EQ, but just don't cut too much of the low frequencies. Try a high pass filter at around 32hz... it cuts out the really low stuff that normal speakers don't even play. Also try cutting some around 200hz, that's usually a pretty muddy sounding frequency. It will probably be difficult to tweak the sound to get that sound... you really need that sound to have been made in the first place.

Its not hard to learn how to use eq and to be quite honest if you are a bassist and playing shows in a band you need to know how to eq all your settings to be able to get the sound you want also boss sells a really good useful bass eq pedal that has made my bass tone totally amazing

No, I know how to use EQ on amps etc. I don't know how to cut signals etc. in recordings with EQ

They must have some sort of EQ for tracks, don't they? At least Garageband must.

Yeah they do, I think I might have figured out how to get it the sound out, tonight I was at a concert and noticed the bassist had that very rough sound using a pedal, I'm going to ask him what pedal it was.

If you wanna use an interface on your computer, use silvertone to add some dist. If you want it on your live set up, pump up mids slightly and get a dist. pedal (I personally dont use one but im sure a boss pedal will do.) Also, it really depends on your bass, if you're playing on a fender j bass, for example itll already have that extra mid punch but the rough distinct sound is achieved by distortion. Hope this explains things well enough for you
