are you serious? it takes months or at least a few weeks to diagnose someone as bipolar. you can't just have an episode an be bipolar. i'd know, i've been in the hospital a few times and seen a bajillion therapists, and it takes time. not one day. i know where you're coming from though.. its not a fun place

I was mistakenly diagnosed as bipolar. I would encourage you to seek more than one opinion rather than jumping on the bipolar bandwagon. Unless you have been seeing this therapist for an extended period of time (several months), a definitive diagnosis of bipolar would be impossible.

On another note, if you are bipolar, I highly recommend sticking to your medication. There aren't very many people with this illness who can funtion without long term.
