Ive noticed lately that all these top selling teen sensation bands are all from Disney channel. I dont get it. If they put a hardcore band on that channel, would the band be a sensation too?

Not much thinking goes into these bands at all. I think we should leave it at that.

those bands make it big because disney knows exactly who they want to market to and they do a hell of a job doing it.

To answer your question, if the guys in the band were attractive to people 5 years younger than them, and had high voices, than yes, of course!

Probably not.
It's really the combination of pubescent teenage girls and the consumer culture.

If Disney marketed them well then yes the band would be a sensation.

There is some fat greedy man with a fat cigar in his fat mouth with a fat laugh as he rolls his fat body in some fat cash from all this regurgiated pop-pop-punk music.

Replace pop-pop-punk with pure garbage. You get the idea.

I think a lot of it has to do with the all around greatness that these bands have to offer; I mean their concerts wouldn't sell out so fast if they weren't good right?

The Jonas Brothers will rape your sister.

But they have to marry her first cuz they have promise rings.

Duh.

The Disney Channel could get a church congregation to listen to Cannibal Corpse or Cradle of Filth.

The Jonas Brothers are the exception(s) that prove the rule.

I can honestly say that I have never heard any Jonas Brothers songs. However, I can name all three of them. Lame.

My ex-girlfriend's best friend made me listen to a ton of their songs during a game of youtube bounce. There was one I didn't hate. Don't remember the name, thank god.

Me too. Except for the very unfortunate clips I've heard in the car.

Personally, I don't see what the problem is. If little kids liked what everyone thinks of as 'good' music, then everyone would be bitching about how there's 11 year old kids at shows. Besides, I like one Disney band. Not all, but they're catchy and fun and basically harmless, so.

Thank you for admitting that there are some good qualities about Disney music.
I don't really enjoy them, and I don't think they're particularly skilled, but bands I listen to aren't necessarily amazingly technically skilled or have the best voices either. I just listen to them because I like them.

They're marketed toward an age group that actually buys albums (well, their parents do), which is a good thing for the industry.
