No complaining here, just a simple wondering. Why does every damn band in this scene have to use the words "burning bridges" in one of their songs? The list of bands that use these words goes on and on...its just weird to me, thats all

yeah its constantly used, the scene adopted it, its now copyrighted and their phrase

reminds me of lyrics that a lot of bands have about someone hands being around someone's neck or throat.

I actually like the phrase burning bridges, so it doesn't bother me, and i've actually only heard it in maybe 2 or 3 bands' songs.

The bleeding metaphors or the hands around your neck or throat/ slitting your throat lines are WAY more overused and annoying, imo.
