Who?
Hour of the Wolf is a rock and roll, hardcore, punk, fun time band from Arizona. Lewd Acts is an in your face hardcore-punk band that hails from the California area. Get to know of both of these bands, because they put out an awesome split of tunes together that will leave you wanting more from both groups. The album also comes on a awesome 7'' that any vinyl enthusiast should add to their collection. Both bands are playing shows all summer long in a town near you.
How is it?
This split is fast, fun, and great to play when hanging out with friends. These two bands both show and prove hardcore is not going anywhere in 2008 and that you can still be original, creative, and have a good time in a genre that seems to have taken a bad reputation over the years. Hour of the Wolf plays a more punkish, 1980s revival style and Lewd Acts gets straight to the point with a little bit of 1990s hardcore and post-hardcore influence that will bring fans of both together with this release. Hour of the Wolf brings three songs to table on this EP to match Lewd Acts' four totaling seven good time jams. The hardcore genre is on the rise with two awesome young bands like this.
