I'm going to be a sophomore at UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) next year. The cool thing about UNLV, besides the free shows (Nofx and Yellowcard this year) is that it is cheap as hell for locals. Since I'm a Nevada resident and I got a cumulative 3.7 GPA in high school they awarded me a scholarship that pays for about 80% of my tuition. I would highly recomend UNLV to anyone who wants to have a real laid back and informative college experience.

Interesting UNLV facts:
1) On campus bar (food and beverage "experiment")
2) An almost 2:1 female-male ratio
3) The skate/punk scene is alive and well
4) Very diverse population

I couldnt afford North America, and I didnt want to go to England. So Holland was the next best thing I could think of for me

I wouldnt be accepted on EU status even if i hold a German passport...(Switzerland isnt in the EU and i live here) so therefore id pay foreign student fees. which is SO SO expensive that the numbers scare me. And plus, i dont think id enjoy being in england for 3-4 years. It just doesnt suit me as much as mainland europe

Going into my junior year at Monmouth College. Don't know where that is? That's okay...it's in the middle of farm country, Illinois. It's ridiculously small and it's pretty much 50/50 between Chicago kids (like me) and farm kids (like my roommate). It gets pretty boring but it has it's charm. I think it only has 1,150 students, total. Wow...my high school was 2,600. That's sad.
