it's fiction right? i've heard it's good from alot of people but i don't like reading stuff about real life much (i get enough of that just living)

The Da Vinci Code was an awesome book. The plotline is fictional and the characters are all fictional. But like a lot of the facts about Leonardo Da Vinci and his paintings are true. The organization Opus Dei is also a real religious sect.

da vinci code was amazing...I never read a book faster than that.

if you like that, check out Angels and Demons by Dan Brown...another great great book. focuses around the conflict between science and church.

The Da Vinci Code is actually sitting a couple feet to my left on a pile of books my mom has read or is about to read...I'm not a big book reader but I think I'll read it during my time off of work this summer.

Okay I already wrote in this thread but that was before I really got into the book. It was hard for me to make it through the first 100 pages but now the ball is rolling and it's turning out to be such a freakin good book. Now I understnd what the big fuss was about.

Good, breezy entertainment. Extremely manipulative and historically sketchy. But it's not a history book, it's a novel. And at that it excels.
