as long as they're being exported...it's all good
seriously though, there's not much else to say but "bad USDA, tisk tisk"...I don't think anyone's gonna argue "well, I don't see a problem with it"

"It could be cocaine in there and then stamped as beef tenderloins? Who the hell knows? It sounds funny, but it's true. And a lot of these countries (receiving U.S. products) don't know that."
that doesn't bother you in the least?
wow, you guys get +100 points for caring.

I was kidding when I said I saw no issue. Yeah, it bothers me...but I'm not sure what else to say about it.

like airport security, and a host of other things, theres just to much shit going through to check everything out, it's not optimal, but i don't think taxpayers are willing to spend billions of dollars on meat inspections.

Airport Security (as well as other things) are often times, not just a lot of money, but wasted money. I remember just after September 11th there were little cones outside the Toledo airport that said you can't drive your car within 50 feet of the entrance, or you'll get whistled at. As if that would ever stop a terrorist. I'm all for increased security, but there comes a point when we're wasting money on something that will not work anyway.
The same goes for meat inspections. An inspector can only do so much without tearing the entire piece of meat open, looking for cysts or whatever. If you're going to buy it, the only real way of knowing if it's safe or not is by cooking it and (hopefully) killing everything.

are we having a meat crisis? are we having problems with meat being contaminated where this would be a major isssue as of now?

jesus christ i didn't post this to get some sort of backlash. i posted this just so people who eat meat, presumably such as yourselves, would be more informed.
sorry.

i'm not giving a backlash. You asked if this bothered anyone and it doesnt bother me. I've yet to hear major stories about wide spread beef contamination. It'd be like you posting a website about our lack of defense to be able to shoot down a meteor. Either worries me as of now.

i meant if it bothered anyone from a moral standpoint, because morally this is horrible.
