Glassjaw.net (http://www.glassjaw.net) is reporting that Head Automatica (http://www.headautomatica.com)'s debut album, Decadence, will be released on August 10th, not July 13th as previously announced. The band's first single, however, will be released on July 13th. Also, gj.net has mp3 versions of the songs that were released the other day, so go enjoy yourself.

i am not all about hip hop now. daryl can go fuck himself now for all i'm concerned. if anyone, ANYONE is following anything he says, or taking anything to heart their an asshole. from the horse's mouse, HE LIES. ALOT.

that being said, i fucking love this record and i'm pretty sick of this date crap. thank god for soulseek.

i really don't agree with how you can say "all" indie and pop-punk kids are now into hip hop bc of daryl, bc im not one of them. (besides, I don't even consider this hip hop). It's wrong of you to generalize and throw someone (like myself) who is a true underground hip hop fan into the same pot as all of the "wannabe's".

For someone who claims to love all types of music this is a pretty stupid commment on your part Wark. Just because somone likes "indie" and "pop-punk" (which are stupid labels anyway) doesn't mean they can't like something with a beat. Personally, I enjoy Daryl's voice and I enjoy stuff with a good beat, for the most part not hip-hop though cause all sing about bitches and rolling on 20's, it's retarded. You can like rhythm and punk at the same time.

Is anyone else kind of curious as to what category Wark would place himself in. He's probably too high and mighty to allow himself to fall into line with any one group (or maybe too smart for reverse psychology). TO be fair I guess I'll admit, as much as I hate to, that I look and act more "emo" than I'd like to. But, since I haven't made vast, sweeping generalizations about any particular groups yet, that could mean any number of things, couldn't it?
Also, I haven't heard anything by Head Automatica except for the one song on his website... and it sucks. It's not really hip hop at all, it's just awful, annoying crap.
And, finally, don't think that I'm agreeing with you because I disagree with Wark. Runninglate criticized Wark for making a generalization about indie and pop punk kids, but then made a generalization about hip hop (which is actually less about "bitches and rolling on 20's" than other forms of rap... um... i mean "music with a beat"- because all other music is beatless and just goes through all sorts of random tempo changes without cause or warning). Then Bulletkisses just comes off like a pompous fuck (kind of like I do, but I do it so much better). Nobody should ever consider anything on one of these message boards to be "from the horse's mouth." Why the fuck should we trust you over one of the other dumbasses who can use a computer? Don't answer that, because I really don't care.

If it really isn't your cup of tea, oh well, all music isn't made for everyone... i think the albums is alright, midtown and my chem are getting more plays though :)
