Okay, did you enjoy / were you impressed with The Dark Knight?
Frankly, I can't see how anyone could possibly not absolutely love this film...so let's see if we can get this poll to 500 yes's before any no's.

It was not only great, but exceeded my expectations. Anyone who disagrees hates movies/life in general.

The movie is currently the highest rated film in IMDB history. And it's well-deserved, I might add.

i like that the first thing the poll maker said
lets see if we can get 500 yes answers before we get one no
and the next guy says no
Yes. And?
07/21/08, 09:39 PM
Yes, and expect a few no's.
Yes. The only part that annoyed me was Batman's voice.

Yes. The only part that annoyed me was Batman's voice.
Quite a few people have said that. I don't get it though, he didn't even talk that much with that voice and when he did it wasn't bad.
It was amazing
and I think the 14 no's are people just doing it for the sake of no-ing haha

It's a superhero movie. . .
no it's not.
TDK doesn't fall into that pitfall genre. "Super hero movies" suggest superficiality and the perpetuation of the utterly impossible...

Right on. That shit annoyed hell out of me. I don't see why everyone hasn't complained about that.
that fact that 20 people voted no makes me sad.

Ledger was sick in that movie. He's gonna take an Oscar for that. Sucks that he won't be there to accept it but it's very deserved nonetheless

I agree it was annoying but he had to talk in a wierd voice so people couldn't recognize him. I still couldn't ignore it though
well about the voice, that's the batman voice, i think he did it perfectly...i loved it, it has a detective comics vibe to it all.... and to the people that didn't like the movie, they have to still give it an A for getting the batman comics vibe... for the first time i got the feeling felt when reading a batman comic, in a batman movie... i'm so getting this on blu-ray when it comes out.

I just got back from seeing it on IMAX and even though this is definitely not the type of movie I would typically watch, I loved it. Now I'm curious to see Batman Begins, if it's even half as good I'll be happy.

Wow, I would respect your answer more if you gave reasons why you thought it was overrated. Everyone I know loved this movie.

i think you will like it also, it has a very original way of introducing his character.

Eh. I'll have to vote no. I think that the Dark Knight butchered the whole series. I always saw the Joker as a trickster. They decided to take a darker approach, and make him some sadistic insane masochist. (not to say I didn't like the mystery to the character.) I didn't like Batman's voice. It was to deep, and growly. It sounded like he had something up his butt whenever he put that costume on. After 3 hours, the jokers laugh, got annoying.
I always imagined Gotham as this dark slummy city, but they portrayed it as if it was New York City. If someone had never heard of Batman, and just saw the trailer, they would probably believe this to take place there. The movie lacked the dark Gothic feeling that all of the other Batman's had.
I felt that before I saw it, everyone was making a big ass deal about it...who cares, its just a movie!
then I saw it...and changed my mind and joined all the people who made a big ass deal about it:excited:

I hope you realize that the name "Gotham" was created as a nickname for...what city was that...oh, yeah: New York City. Gotham is to New York like Titletown is to Green Bay.
I've always felt that Gotham was an indirect depiction of New York City.
