You can now watch Underoath (http://www.underoath777.com)'s new video for "Reinventing Your Exit" at ChasingSafety.com (http://www.chasingsafety.com).

Pretty cool video. The whole looping concept reminds me of Midtown's video for "Give It Up", but still damn good nonetheless.

I actually like this one a little better than Midtown's...just a little.

This shit reminds me of A Static Lullaby...and every other fucking band who sounds like them.

What the fuck is up with the video? A guy chasing himself around? Why? If it's supposed to be a methaphor for something, I'd like it to be a little more obvious for what. I think the video is just some shit idea with nothing behind it...and I'm sure you'll all try and justify how pointless it was by saying it's deep or some shit...blah.

I don't think it's really deep or anything. I have no idea what it means, but I'm sure it does have SOME meaning behind it...I don't think they said "Dude, let's make a video of a guy chasing himself. That would be awesome!" There's some basis behind the idea. Not everything is as clear cut as you would like it to be. Something like that leaves it open for interpretation and your own ideas.

Yeah, ok, but this song still sucks.

What a horrible video from such a great band, such a shame. The actor guy chasing himself was a goof.

i like this new record a lot and this song is great too, but that whole "tag" concept was kinda weak. i guess because the guy looked like a Diesel model showing no emotion at all kinda got on my nerves but whatever.

Yeah, ok, but this song still sucks.

Why? Isnt xXxhardcorexXx enough for you?

He has a Shai Hulud avatar, and a SAS song in his sig, which makes him A-Ok in my book. As for the video, I liked how everything was circular, like the little touches with the bathroom scene and the bar push, etc. I wonder what it's supposed to mean when they end up going through the red curtain the second time through, instead of the left door.

"Why? Isnt xXxhardcorexXx enough for you?"

Yep. Exactly right. No, actually as I said, it sounds like every fucking scream-a-couple-verses-sing-the-poppy-chorus moppy haircut, tight-ass t-shirt wearing band that SO many people are in right now, that sound so identical to every other band with moppy hair cuts and expensive girl jeans. This has nothing to do with how "hardcore" this song is or isn't. And don't insinuate that I put X's all over my shit. I think that's just as ridiculous as you probably do. I'm the farthest thing from a "hardcore" kid.

Masonic, I love Inspection 12. Please tell me you're going to pick up the new Craig's Brother EP. Please tell me you know who CB is.

this video got me so excited. i cant wait for this album. i am an old underoath fan, and the changing times is my fav metalcore-ish cds. i guess what you really have to do is consider this a sepreate band from the old underoath. but i still think they are amazing. does any one know if aaron(drummer) does the singing on the cd or does spencer do most of it? because in the video they show arron doing it, and i know when dallas was in the band he did the singing (listen to when the sun sleeps) but it sounds different on the new stuff. either way, im behind underoath 100%.

Listen to this dude. He knows what's up. Old Underoath = metal and amazing
New Underoath = Whatever label you want to put on it, yet still amazing. Definitely think of it as two different bands.

Hell ya dude, I got my username from the track on Lost At Sea (one of the best albums ever. And when I say ever, I mean EVER.) I was so pysched too, I lost my copy of Lost At Sea a few months ago, and all of a sudden Tooth And Nail mailorder had it on sale for $5. It was a sign from God. I was all over that like a hobo on a ham sandwich.

I had this question too. On the band site by Aaron it says "Drums/Vocals" but does he actually sing lead at times and not just do backup?

The answer to that is yes. Watch the video.

i was at the show in tampa the other night and aaron the drummer does indeed do the singing and the new guy, spencer, only screams..... it was funny on one of the songs there was no screaming and spencer actually left the stage and came back on the next song...

I saw the video. Let me rephrase: Is it all Aaron on singing and all Spencer on screaming throughout the record? Also, did Aaron sing at all on earlier stuff? From what I understand it was all Dallas, but I wanted to know. I wasn't a fan before, so I'm just wondering.

if you go to launch.yahoo.com you can watch the 'when the sun sleeps' video (i think... if not, i can give another link) but aaron is singing in that video too. plus when i seen them in concert about a year ago (with dallas) aaron sang also. the only reason i asked if spencer sang was because his screams are so close to the singing. they sound like the same person.

Spencer does some singing on the album as well, so I guess the answer is both aaron and spencer sing, and spencer screams. Their voices blend together really nicely, so thats why it seems like there is one person at times.

Cool, thanks. Yeah, it is a nice blend. I've been playing the 5 songs on that site nonstop, they're just that damn good.
