Nick Drake vs. Elliott Smith

I know that it's kind of hard to really compare the two, but they were both singer-songwriters who had distinctive sounds, and passed away before their full potential could truly be unleashed. But if you had to choose, which do you prefer?

I like them both, but for me Elliott was always more consistent as a songwriter. And I like his voice better, Plus he scores points for playing a billion instruments.
