The Killing Gift - Great rock band fronted by a hott killer babe. Their record "Who Watches The Watchmen?" The record will be out on July 13th through Immigrant Sun Records. I liked it a lot, and I've only listened to it once. Check it out at Purevolume.com/thekillinggift (http://www.Purevolume.com/thekillinggift).

Every Time I Die - Hot Damn! - My favorite record to play along to on my guitar. It's seriously so much fun to play, it's fast, fucking LOUD, and amazing in every way. The riff on track 9 in the intro is such an awesome riff, it impressed me so much, it's just righteous. This band is saving music through my eyes. They arent even a hardcore band, they're just loud, fast rock and roll with the most amazing lyrics ever. If you still don't own this record, or understand how great it is, please just go buy it.

.thedecember drive - amazing song writers, i love their record (handslikegunsandcrashingsounds). Don't know much about them, but go to www.americanjealousy.com to figure it out. This record is just awesome from start to finish. I'm bummed I didn't listen to these guys before.

Emanuel (http://www.emanuelnice.com) - Soundtrack To A Headrush - When you all hear this record, you're going to be like "damn, why did I complain that Wark talked about this band too much? this is the best shit i've ever heard." So seriously, just trust me, you really have no idea about how truly great this band is. They're really inspiring, and their singer Matt's lyrics are some of the greatest lyrics I've read in a very long time. FUCK. You have know idea. Seriously.

RECOVER - This May Be The Year I Disappear - I finally got this record after waiting so long for it... When I die, I want headphones on my ears in my coffin, with this CD on repeat with brand new batteries, so I can listen to them while I'm dead. Such a fucking amazing record. Dan Keyes is the next Kurt Cobain. Recognize.

Hey, what’s up this is Jon from Fidelity Records. It’s Sunday around 7:00 o clock right now and I’m sitting here on my cell phone with Mr. Jon Wark on my way back from Richmond, VA to my home in Jersey. I just wanted to recommend some bands I’ve been listening to lately along with some all time favorite records that every body should know about. I’m really sorry that I’m not good at album titles, or track listings, I really only know track numbers on CD’s, but I’m sure a lot of people are just like that. You’ll be able to find these records online somewhere, so if you’re into what I’ve recommended post your comments and let me know what you think.

Zao – S/T – I loved every album from this band since they have started, and I had bought this album and gave it one quick listen and didn’t really get into it, and recently somebody told me to break it out again and try to give it a listen, and I was blown away. I loved it, it was metal but at the same time it was fucking rockin’.

Billy Music – I think these guys are from South Dakota, but don’t hold me to it. I saw them rock out in South Jersey about two and a half years ago with a bunch of metal bands, and these guys just rocked. For fans of Mineral and Sunny Day Real Estate. This band is a better version of Mineral, period. You can find their record on Interpunk.com. The guitar work is amazing.

Portishead – Live at Roseland – Do I really have to say anything?

Jeff Buckley – all of ‘em – This guy’s guitar work reminds me a lot of Nick Drake, especially cause he does a lot of work in his own made up tunings. This guy has a HUGE vocal range, and it’s definitely for somebody that appreciates true art. It’s too bad Jeff Buckley died at such a young age, who knows could have come from him. It freaks me that Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake both died very similar deaths at a very young age.

Fortheloveof – both records – This band is the best band that has ever come out of New Jersey doing the hardcore/metal thing. This band is simply fucking brutal, my favorite band of all time in this genre. I’m so fucking stoked that they are doing a reunion at this year’s Hell Fest. Somebody is going to the hospital during/after their set; that’s how insane their shows are. You can buy both of their records over at Ferretstyle.com.

Damien Rice – “O” – This guy is just a really great singer/songwriter. Which also has a female that lends vocals on some tracks. They have violins, and cellos. It’s very chill stuff, very mellow, very relaxing, and just very awesome song writing. This CD is AWESOME!

We.re All Broken – Campaign Moving Slow – I’ve been friends with these guys for a long time, even when they were first known as Unsound. This band used to play a lot of metal and hardcore, and then eventually they started gradually changing to what they have become now. They are one of the most original bands out there today. I feel that you need to just sit down and listen to this record as a whole, and with an open mind to really get into it. The guitar-work on this is totally unbelievable and the drumming is awesome, but at first listen the vocals are what stand out. The bands that I would compare their sound to would be Faith No More, DJ Shadow, Thursday, Hum, and Sunny Day Real Estate; picture all of those bands mixed up in a blender. Head on over to Purevolume.com/wereallbroken (http://www.Purevolume.com/wereallbroken) and take a listen to the three songs over there, and if like what you hear you can pre-order it at Merchline.com/fidelityrecords (http://www.Merchline.com/fidelityrecords). Every song on this album is amazing and the song that really stands out to me is the song “long pause, short pause”, it’s just such an amazing song, please give it a listen, and check these guys on the upcoming dates with Folly this summer, another amazing Jersey band, and everyone should come out to their record release show on July 1st. For more information visit my site @ Fidelityrecords.net (http://www.fidelityrecords.net).

The Bled – Pass The Flask – Whether you’re going to pre-production for an album, at a party, driving in your car on your way to a strip club, or just driving period, this album FUCKING rules. It is the best album to fucking rock out to. Just grab your friends and hop in a car and you’ll know what I’m talking about, people will look at you like you are crazy. Your steering wheel becomes the fucking guitar and drums.

Thanks for tuning in kids. Next week I will talk about Recover and Emanuel some more. Word.

Wark, you introduced me to the Bled and now Emanuel. Both are complete kickass bands.. good job. ETID kicks ass too (but you didn't introduce me to that.. heh). And if the new Recover is as great as you say, then I can't wait to hear it.

p.s. helllo Jon, it was nice talking to you at the RTS show.

Billy Music is awesome. I haven't met anyone who knows who they are though, which is sad. Get their Midwest Index cd.

No, these are hardcore bands: chain of strength, strongarm, gorrilla bisquits, judge, ignite, inside out, under dog, ensign, fortheloveof, warzone... etc...

Every Time I Die is a heavy rock and roll band influenced by hardcore. they aren't hardcore, you don't know shit, so please just stop trying to be some tight kid; you aren't too cool for school, dipshit.

maybe wark DOES possess a tad bit of intelligence

i'm kind of like the Matt Pinfield of the indie scene. Only I just talk about the bands I love most because I'm passionate about them. Sorry if I ever bummed you out Bossman dude, i always thought you were a tight kid, which is pretty rare to find these days on this AP forum.

when Wark first started talking about the Bled, i was just annoyed and i figured that there was no way they could be that good, so i didn't really listen to them, a few months later I checked them out and now they're one of my favorite bands, maybe i'll feel the same about Emanuel,

thedecemberdrive. kicks ass...

when you're band name rhymes w/ shred, how can you go wrong? Also, Emanuel is already one of your favorite bands. Let me know when you hear them how right I am, because I love being right.
