Thursday?

I was just wondering what you guys think of Thursday. I've been listening to them alot lately and I think they're pretty good, but I have friends who hate them with a passion, and other friends who would live and die for them. I personally don't really lean one way or another, but I think they're pretty good. Anyways, I was just curious. I'm at work right now...give me something to read :smarty:

On a completely unrelated side note, I saw a picture of Geoff Rickly in a magazine and I thought he had very nice lips. That had nothing to do with anything but take a look at a picture of him. He has nice eyes too but they're barely open. He looks sleepy. Okay I'm done writing now.

The thing I like about Thursday is that their songs sound epic and textured. There's nothing simple about their sound, which is why it took a few listens for me to get into them. Their stuff just seems so dense.
They are a great band.

thursday is just... there's no word to describe their overall greatness.... not only do they write about issues that really matter... but they make it so damn ear-pleasing! i saw them live... they owned times ten... they have brillant views... i really liked how geoff spoke about his views between songs.. and actually made it amusing...

and i cannot deny that his teeth are messed up... but we all have our features... regardless... he has changed my life for the better

Thursday are awsome. The vocals and lyrics are amazing. Geoff has a very unique way of singing. But i have bad news for all you Thursday fans. It goes as follows...

I was in a Newbury Comics one day and i was reading a magazine because it had a special feature on Warped Tour and interviews with all the frontmen of the bands. I was reading the review with Thursday. Well Geoff Rickley is very sick. He has been passing out and coughing up blood and so on. Also after they finish Warped Tour they are taking a very long break he said. And not seeing each other for a while. Then MAYBE they will continue with Thursday. He thinks they have about one album left in them.

I am very sad.... :(

Eh, bands come and go. but its what they leave behind that really leaves the mark. so its sad to see em go, if this can be proven. but it does open an opportunity for a new band to spring a sweep us off our feet just like them.

What... the... fuck. But at the same time, I wish Geoff well and hopefully he'll be okay. This definitely blows though.
