Same. I got really excited when he finally had real vocals in You Really Got A Hold On Me. He's got a great voice it's disappointing. But Deschannel's are incredible. And that's NOT disappointing.

It was an overall fun album and tracks with powerful vocals from Deschanel (Change Is Hard, You Really Got a Hold On Me, and Swing Low Sweet Chariot) as well as a couple tracks with some kick ass musicianship from M. Ward (guitar solo on Why Do You Let Me Stay Here? was my personal favorite) could warrant a top placement. Especially in that genre range.

I'm a pretty new fan, but I have been listening to Volume 1 a lot lately and loving it. I was a little disappointed that M. Ward isn't more prominet on the album, but Zooey's voice just blows me away.
