thanks in advance.

Miseration, it's the lead vocalist of SS's second project. A bit harder.
This Or The Apocalypse, is metalcore, the guitarists are fantastic.
The new Misery Signals is growing on me, but it's not amazing.
And, on another note, Circus! Circus! is damn good. They're guitarists are gold, but it's more chaotic post-hardcore than metal.

i liked TOTA. the only one i haven't gotten to yet is Circus Circus.
i like the new Misery Signals alot. i saw them live about a year and a half ago, and they weren't bad, but were overshadowed by Between the Buried and Me, who played right afterward.
thanks so much for the Rec's. if you think of any more, please let me know.

I assume you've heard August Burns Red? If not, they've got some talent.
Letter To The Exiles are pretty good.
I'm not partial to them, but a lot of people dig Soulfly.
Inhale/Exhale
Life In Your Way has the whole melodic thing down pretty well.

For stuff that's similar to All That Remains, check out Silent Civilian.
Also check out Wintersun, Norther, Protest the Hero and Parkway Drive.

Darkest Hour, Protest the Hero, Parkway Drive, Light This City, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquillity, Killswitch Engage (I hope you already know them), 36 Crazyfists, Hell Within, Deadlock, The Black Dahlia Murder, Becoming the Archetype, Soilwork, Trivium, Devildriver, Bullet for My Valentine, Into Eternity, Nevermore. Some of those are more traditional, progressive, melodic death metal than metalcore, but whatevs. And they might not all fit into your definition of "good guitarists", but in my opinion, they all shred at some point.

If you're going to check out Protest the Hero, start with Kezia, not Fortress. It's less accessible, but that's the point. Although it's a great album, Protest kind of diluted themselves on Fortress... plus, Kezia is a concept album (but so much more than that), so how much better can you get?

I agree that Kezia > Fortress. Fortress just bled together so bad.

There's some stuff here I've been meaning to check out. Not a big KSE or Parkway Drive fan.
But I like a few BFMV songs. Too bad their singer sucks.
I'll check out the rest when I can. Thanks.
And thanks to everyone else as well.

Necrophagist has good guitar, but a lot of people can't get past the vocals... they're a little cookie moster-ish.
