I want to know more about Paramore, that name just seems to fit, but what's their underlying reason for the name?..

Paramore - I believe the band name cam from a friends mothers last name. So there is a Mrs. Paramore out there somewhere

A paramour is someone who has sex with a married person. Take that as you will.

All Paramore did was take the word paramour and change it. Or maybe Atlantic told them that would be a good name - who knows?

I think their singer has great potential lyric wise, but doesn't use it. All the songs are about the same thing, but very clever.

What? You must be on drugs - his lyrics are by no means "clever". They are written by someone thinking they are clever, and coming up incredibly short.

He's no Max Bemis or Jesse Lacey but his lyrics aren't as shitty as Metro Station or FTSK

Woo Hoo for the metro station part, but I would listen to Forever The Sickest Kids over Cute any day.

Why is Max Bemis regarded as the lyrical genius of the scene. He's got great lyrics but not amazing.
And I'd be interested in some band name origins as well.

Goodie Mob's name basically means Good die mostly over bullshit.
Memphis Bleek's name is an acronym, MEMPHIS = Making Easy Money Pimpin Hoes in Style
Say Anything probably got their name from the 80's movie.
Hot Water Music is a book by Bukowski.
That's all I got.

I like the mystery surrounding Anberlin's name. It's all on their Wiki page (so take it as you will), but apparently...
Various interviews credit vocalist Stephen Christian with providing conflicting origins of the band's name:
Christian had long planned to name his first daughter Anberlin. Struggling to find a name for the band, Stephen suggested it. "We were all sitting around trying to come up with a name. None of us were married or had kids, but one day I was going to name my daughter Anberlin, so I figured we could name the band that until we thought of something better. So we chose Anberlin and no one has thought of anything better."[17] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anberlin#cite_note-Anberlin_Aren.27t_Christian_Rock-16) He no longer plans to use Anberlin to name his first daughter, however: "If I ever have a daughter and name her Anberlin, she'll think she was named after the band instead of the other way around."[18] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anberlin#cite_note-17)
Christian stated in another interview that the band's name was created when he was thinking about cities in Europe he wanted to visit. In his mind he listed "London, Paris, Rome, and Berlin." Stephen thought that "And Berlin" would be a cool name for a band and so when the band was looking for a name Stephen suggested "And Berlin," which was then modified to "Anberlin."[19] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anberlin#cite_note-18)
Christian stated in yet another interview when asked about the origin of the band's name: "There are several stories that have circulated on the internet, but the actual story is when I was in college my favorite band was Radiohead (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiohead); on one of their songs off the record Kid A (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kid_A) there is a background noise on the song 'Everything in Its Right Place (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everything_in_Its_Right_Place)' (about 2 minutes 31 seconds into the song). While Thom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thom_Yorke) is singing try to say I always thought the background noise sounded like Anberlin, I always thought that Anberlin would have been a great band name and well ... it was/is."[20] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anberlin#cite_note-19)

Only on AbsolutePunk...
Taking Back Sunday - apparently when they started people thought they were a christian band that would only play on Sunday's or something...
though it's also a Morrissey B-side isn't it?

Max and Jesse are severely overrated. Every teenager who believes they know something about songwriting cites those two as modern Bob Dylan's when they are not.
Regardless of who you namedrop, giving Shaant's stunningly inept ability as a lyricist any such compliment takes every bit of credibility away from your opinion. He is one of the worst - I think Tom Higgenson and whoever writes Boys Like Girls' songs are much better than him. At least they keep the obvious attempts at being witty down to a minimum.
Change your avatar... you don't deserve to have Park next to your name.

Pretty much every band you see nowadays, I influenced the name change. Labels think my voice counts. I like that.
