it must have been so depressing and made him so angry growing up the rich son of a soap star. now i completely understand where their totally genuine inspiration comes from.
Yet another reason to hate Senses Fail more.
To sell out as a pop punk band is pretty damned hard, but well done.

well, it's good to know that since senses fail (or as i like to call them, seasons flail) has had about as much success lately as crystal pepsi, that buddy's got an acting career all lined up, with mommy and all.
i'm so sick of hearing about this band when they don't do anything.

senses fail has always been shit. but alot of the kids who hate them now probably own their EP. Its kinda weird to me. this band lost alot of its fans and it has yet to release their album. it shows how powerful internet gossip is

Clearly his dad was rich, as all soap stars are, and clearly rich kids do not have problems or situations they can draw inspiration from. Also, clearly bands only write only about real situations that have happened to them.
I guess I've nailed it, eh? Scenester fucks.

That's not the point, douchebag. I'm well aware every day problems with relationships and family are not restricted to a certain social status, but Senses Fail (and Boys Night Out is the exact same, while we're at it), goes out of their way to try very hard to come off as this tortured angry group of guys, when in reality, 90% of it is a sham, done purely to try to fit in to a scene in which they do not belong. I'm sorry, a few failed high school relationships do not make a rich jersey kid that dark and angry.
And besides, as I said before, the music is garbage anyway, all of the fabricated anger pushed aside.

This is not about the scene. This is about the bullshit. I'd have thought it would be fairly obvious.
Buddy is a rich kid. Why doesn't he act like one? Because it's cool to be hardcore now? He didn't get a Lexus for his birthday? Now I guess we know where the "country club" line comes from. Teenage angst sure does have a bodycount. And no, I'm not saying that rich kids don't have problems or whathaveyou. It's just that, generally, those problems don't spawn bands that sing mediocre songs about murder and blood and being sick in the head. This is generally, however.
I dunno. I liked the SF EP okay, Buddy's vocals can be grating at times. But all that egomaniacal crap recently and now this Actor Named Buddy stuff is terrible for them.
Also, terrible first single. I bet the video makes MTV.
Soap Stars aren't really paid all that much money... so I don't think he's a "rich kid". Not poor by any means, but more likely middle class.
Not that I like their new album, the lyrics sound like they were written by Avril in jail or something.

wow, i didn't know "rich" people act a certain way, nor were required to. I bet if he "acted" like he was rich, you'd say "what a fuckin douche bag conceited asshole " etc. let him be whoever he wants to, shit
And how do you know what problems he has? Just because his parents are wealthy doesn't mean he can't be fucked up. Your monitary status doesn't determine if you have issues, i can't believe some people here are saying it does.
The only way I can see you guys using the "wealth" argument is if all of his songs were about him claiming to be poor & living out on the streets by himself (which is possible, but we all know not probable). Some of these posts are bordering on ignorance

Ok.. i'm not a fan of Senses Fail's music, but some of you are holding things against them that aren't quite justified. So say he was rich.. it doesn't mean he doesn't go through the same things as anyone else. I don't know about Buddy personally, but the point is his wealth shouldn't be held against him. Maybe he just writes shitty music.

yeah, because when their ep came out, nobody hated them. its their success with the ep that followed, that turned them into complete assholes. each and every one of them. and the cd has basically come out, if you want it, it is EVERYwhere over the internet, and senses fail knows that. they want you to download it. they know drive thru hates it and doesnt want to release it, because it is the biggest step down from ep to full length drive thru has ever seen. and internet gossip...everything i heard about senses fail has been proven true to me. they ARE assholes who DO pick fights with way too many people. if there is a couple hott blonde girls in skirts at their show, they will bring them up to the back of the stage and mingle with them the entire night when many of their fans are trying to get a conversation going with them. man. sorry. but fuck senses fail.
