I didn't know this (http://www.epitaph.com/bands/index.php?id=347&bio=1&expand=1):

But Scatter the Ashes had no real strategy for world domination (other than to keep listeners guessing) when Epitaph honcho Brett Gurewitz got word of the band’s MP3s on Absolutepunk.net. From the expansive, manic thrill of “Caesura” to the hard-as-nails closing opus “Hour Benediction,” it is little wonder that the label boss was so spellbound by the inventive troupe.

Prolly one of the coolest things I have read yet, really made this whole 'having a cold and still having to go to my drawing class' day a little better.

I'm no fan of the band, but still, that's so rad. Congrats, Jason.

Stupid "creative process" elective that needs to be filled. "liberal arts foundation" (LAF) requirements .... it's pointless. the professor however seems to like my dark/abstract style - even though I was attempting to be so off the wall no one would understand .. a shame.

Devout/The Modern Hymn is pretty decent...similar to what I'd expect from Cave In (but not nearly as good as Jupiter). They have some not-so-good tracks on there, but mostly it's good.

Woah Jason thanks for posting about this band, I never checked them out before but I did today and I'm hooked. I've been going to this website for almost 4 years and you NEVER let me down. AP.net introduced me to practically every band I've listened to in the past 4 years. Thanks so much for creating the best music resource anywhere.
