usually the reason adam sang off pitch so much was because he was always drunk on tour.

i know i might catch some shit for this, but stephen christian from anberlin has always had trouble hitting his notes live.
don't get me wrong, anberlin is one of my favorite bands, but he always seems to struggle and i think it is primarily because he gets sooooo into the show, that he gets out of breath. and in turn, his vocals all come out as screams and short bursts rather than actually singing.
i wouldn't go so far as to call him the worst though....there are plenty of other candidates out there.
and for anyone that thinks patrick stump shouldn't be at the top of this list....you must be as tone deaf as he is.

were you impaired/drunk/high/etc?
Nah, I wasn't. Everyone keeps telling me I must have caught them on two bad days or something, since everyone else's consesus is that the vocals are usually spot on.

chino from deftones is either spot on or embarrassingly bad. however he started using a vocal coach and it's made a world of difference on their last few tours.

i absolutely loooove saosin, but live he sounds out-of-breath and not very strong.
what about story of the year? idk, im asking if anyone knows if they suck live.
I'm not a SOTY fan AT ALL, but I saw them at Warped twice and Taste of Chaos, and they were actually really great all three times.
They had excellent energy, swapped instruments at one point so everyone was playing something different, and the singer is pretty spot-on, for sure.
Deftones had them on-stage at TOC, and I'm pretty sure if Deftones have you on-stage you must be doing something right.

I find that hard to believe

Jordan was fucking incredible when I saw them. It was in a smaller venue to.
I'm going to have to say Tom Delonge. He should stick to the studio.

Jonny Craig's drunk ass stumbling into the guitarists, falling over a speaker, and leaving stage after a 3 song set while headlining. So much potential, oh well.

never heard of them, but if their singer is worse than the guy from drop dead, gorgeous, maybe that's a good thing. til then, drop dead guy has my vote, both for worst vocals and performance.
It's weird for me. I know the singer of Drop Dead, Gorgeous has a bad voice. But I still like it for some reason.
I actually like how awful it is.

I don't know. I saw Sonny live a few years ago with FFTL.

brendon Urie of panic! at the disco
brendon urie at least when i saw him
I thought that too when I saw them back in 06. Then I went to HCT this year and I think he's improved A LOT. I was actually quite impressed this time around.

Yep. I got the time wrong though and was running late after work so we only saw MCS and Panic. I was actually looking forward to seeing Phantom Planet since I used to love them.

Yup. Way over. I think the last show was like mid-June. I thought about going again and making a trip down to LA but I didn't. I'm planning on seeing Panic on their next tour though because I really want to see them again.

I thought they improved immensely. I went from being someone who said they were one of the worst live bands I've seen to thinking they were great live, maybe one of the better ones I've seen now.
They played about half old songs and half new, the first and last songs were both off Pretty. Odd. But they played the older songs in the style of the newer ones and it really worked for them.
