Is anybody going to this music festival?
Its next weekend, Jul 31-Aug 3rd, and is in Bridgeport, CT.
Some of the bands playing are Black Crowes, Taj Mahal Trio, Phil Lesh and Friends, Zappa plays Zappa, Neville Brothers, Deep Banana Blackout, Dark Star Orchestra, Porter Batiste Stoltz (members of the Meters), and so many more.
Its a kinda dead oriented festival this year. Past years included Parliament-Funkadelic, Les Claypool, James Brown, The Allman Brothers, The Flaming Lips, G Love, Keller Williams, Medeski Martian and Wood, and John Scofield but its gonna be great anyway.
Im almost goin more for the experience than anything. My friends have been talkin bout it since last year. Apparently its a much more laidback festival and an experince to be had. Its like a big community. Better than All Good or Bonnaroo, or so I hear.
Only $185 for the weekend pass/camping and $85 a day. Thursdays free if you have 3 or more in your car.
