Just got back from going to the sf warped tour, and it was literally the best fuckin show i've been to. I got backstage passes last night by some miracle, and so i got to float around back the whole day. I ended up taking 60 something pictures (alot w/guys from the bands & me), and meeting most of the bands that played & talking to em (and I gave em all our cd- who knows if they'll listen to it but ya never know). The bands played awesome of course, even the smaller stages (which last year dissapointed me).
Memorable performances
TBS- fucking played an amazing set, and i've never heard them play better before. Some guy in the sign had a poster that had some negativity about em, and Adam called him on stage & told him to get up there "because he looked so cute"-- wouldn't you know it the guy put his sign down. Got the crowd extremely worked, and they were all totally fuckin awesome when talking to em. One of the best performances
NFG stopping a fist fight between a way older guy and a really young kid, i guess the kid accidentally elbowed the guy or something while they were moshing around.
Underoath & MCR- Just plain amazing, no matter what go see these two bands. MCR was awesome & intimate playing on a smaller stage (as opposed to the bigger stages).
Thursday, Alk 3 & Anti-flag also had fucking awesome sets, and one of the funniest things was one of the vandals nearly climbing up all the way on the rafters.
Since it was my first time backstage and meeting all those bands, that alone was worth it. However, the atmosphere rocked, it was overall good weather, and the bands were just amazing. Plus, we jacked 30 rockstar drinks on our way out, and during the whole day must have had about 10 each :)
