ok. don't get me wrong, i do feel some guilt by downloading the new cd a month before the release with no intention on buying it at all, but some things you just can't wait for. Is this an album worth the guilt? definitely. Let me first say that I still think that the last album was better, but this album is still great. There isn't a song that will instantly make you a fan like "there's not 'i' in team", but there are still some damn good songs.
"A decade.." is still one of my favorites along with "Bonus Mosh", "Little Devotional" and "Number five with a bullet". Some of the different sounding songs on the album suprised me. On the last album the slowest song was "Ghostman on third" and on this album "New american classic" sounds like a slow country ballad. i still love it, but it took me a bit to get used to the sound. also, if your gonna get one song off this cd it needs to be "...slowdance on the inside"...crazy good song.
as for the suckiness of this album...some songs i just don't like. in other words...they suck. "The Union", "I am Fred Astaire", and "One-eighty by summer". it's just my opinion though. i'll give them a chance.
oh yeah...and the WORST line on this whole album is in one of the best songs..."Cause a long night means a fist fight/Against your pillow and my pearly whites"...pointless.
oh well. good album...4/5
