Don't know how many people like this band on here (if any). But you should seriously check them out if not: www.myspace.com/oceansizeuk (http://www.myspace.com/oceansizeuk) Can't make comparisons to other bands because I don't listen to much that sounds like them.

I fucking love this band! I found out about them by talking to one of the guitarists in Dillinger Escape Plan this past winter. The best way to describe them is Tool meets Dredg meets The Mars Volta. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Bump this thread for the best band in the UK.

New EP out in October, "Home and Minor", plus their "Feed to Feed" 4 CD / 3 DVD boxset featuring them playing each album in full live at the Roadhouse in Manchester. New album next year too. Fucking amazing band.

new album "Self Preserved While the Bodies Float Up" comes out September 6th (UK) and September 14th (US)

So good! I'm probably so behind but I remember Frames being a fantastic record. I haven't really kept up with the band or their music since though, unfortunately.

they released an EP last year called "Home and Minor" but it was rather different. Mostly ambient instrumental work.

But the new album is coming in September, regardless.

Ocenasize are awesome! More people definitely need to check them out. To attempt to start a discussion to stop this thread being ignored I'll ask what's everybody's favourite Oceansize album? I think mine is Everyone into position, You can't keep a bad man down has got to be one of my favourite songs of all time.

Resurrecting this thread just to say how much I still love and miss this band. Listening to a really incredible live set from Vienna around the release of Self Preserved... and they were just an incredible live band. Mike Vennart and Gambler have a new project called BritishTheatre coming soon, which is apparently guitar-lite and very dark. Excited to hear it.
