So, saw a thread in another forum and it had a good response, so I just thought i'd ask it... Anyways, what do yall do for a living (whether it be school, work, whatever)...

Next year i'll be going to csu-lb as a frosh, i work right now as a bus boy at this country club, and play in my band (in my sig) that takes up most of my time.. what about you guys?

side note- my mom was in my room, heard the line "sex is all old & boring" from midtown, and got this perplexed look on her face and said "he must be doing it wrong"

Grad student at Fordham University, until I get my Master's come August. Then, probably teaching somewhere...
I also consider myself a writer, so I guess that counts too.

btw, what your mom said = awesome

I'm now a sophomore in high school and I have a job at an attorney's office typing up their bills for their clients. Its an awesome job to have, I make my own hours and get paid more than the average teenager. And last year when I didn't have my license my boss used to pick me up and drop me off at home. So I'm gonna stick with this job for a bit.

i'll be a junior in high school next year. i seal driveways full time depending on the weather, making $8 an hour off the books, which should give me enough to pay for my nice new(well its used, but its newly MINE) 1998 GMC Jimmy :-)

Equity Analyst that covers the semiconductor industry. Yup. Yawn.....IN my spare time i play with my band, Casual Blue who's toured with The Early November, Copeland, and Hidden in Plain View and have played with The Starting Line, Mighty Mighty Bostones, etc. We also played the arcade stage at skate and surf this year. We're gonna showcase for a record label next month so hopefully all goes well....

I'm a student, I'm going to be a junior in high school this year. I dont have a summer job because A) I'm a bum. and B) I'm not technically old enough, although I could have gotten working papers, but you know, refer to A.

I'm a high school graduate who sits around the house playing his acoustic guitar or going online or watching FOX News on TV, meanwhile waiting for the FedEx truck that's supposed to bring me my electric guitar in two days.

Oh and once a week I mow my grandma's lawn for $40 a pop.

working part time at Needles and Pins, a quilting store downtown where I get to hang out with my best friend's girlfriend and listen to james taylor all day. The music could be better, but I get paid really well to sit around and pin bolts of fabric

what kind of guitar are you getting?
Epiphone G310. It's an SG-style and it's white.

I should add to my occupation that I'm also a youth worship leader, meaning I'm in charge of music every Wednesday night at my youth church where I sing and play guitar. I also play guitar on the worship team on Sunday mornings, but I'm don't lead or anything except on Wednesdays.

What kind of amp do you have ? G310's sound great plugged into some amps, but not so good through others. Marshalls seem to work well with them.

What kind of amp do you have ? G310's sound great plugged into some amps, but not so good through others. Marshalls seem to work well with them.I'm going to be buying a Marshall, no question about it. I'm eyeballing an MG50DFX combo, because it's the cheapest one with footswitchable channels. I realize that it's just a practice amp, but in case it's not loud enough to be heard at church, I'll just mic it into the church's sound system.

I just got my hardshell SG case from the UPS today (that I ordered from a different vender than the guitar itself). Meanwhile FedEx's website still lists the guitar delivery as "On-Time" with a scheduled delivery of TOMORROW!

I'm so pumped.

Get a tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuube amp. Even a Marshall solid-state will sound poopy in comparison to a less fantastic brand tube amp.
Or do whatever. But yeah. Good luck with that!

Anyway. I work at an Ice Cream Store/Craft Shop.. appropriately called "Crafts & Cones". We're the #2 kemps dealer in the state of Minnesota... right behind The Mall of America. We go through 300 3-gallon tubs a week. 36 flavors. It feels good to be proud.
I hate this town though.. the only reason we sell so much is because of the stupid tourists. Crosslake, MN goes from population 1,500 (in the winter) to 15,000 in the summer.

Other than that I play guitar in my band which is a fabulous time. Of course.

In September I'm heading off to Carleton College as a I would love to be a screenwriter. Or anything with writing... or anything with music.

orlando for some reason won't hire people for the summer, unless you sold your soul to disney and i really didn't want to do that. but i'm going to be back in gainesville soon so i'm going to try to get a job at one of the hotels there, or at home depot because you start at 8 bucks an hour just for being a cashier, and they pay like half your college tuition, even though i don't have to pay for my college i bet there's some kickass student benefits

but anyway. i'm sick of being a bum.
