i dont want to say most underrated but the graduate definitely dont get the praise or acknowledgement they deserve, even on a large scale they're so superior in every category (including the technicality, depth, and integrity of their songwriting) to every band they tour with it's not even funny. they're pigeonholed in a scene they really have no valid part in. yeah jason tate called them best new artist of 2007, which could possibly be them getting OVERrated but i hear little talk of them on AP and when i bring them up theres like 5 people telling me they're just another one of "those" bands. i personally think those people need q-tips.

I'm not really sure I can think of any underrated bands. Most of the ones that come to mind are simply too obscure to be rated to begin with, and their fanbase rates them pretty highly. I'm tempted to pick some hugely successful band that all the cool kids say you're not sposed to listen to, but I can't think of too many I actually like. Oh well, pointless post. Carry on.

Hanson (http://www.hanson.net) are super underrated, a lot of people haven't given them a chance because they got big fast when they were little. But they're still going, and still making great pop/rock music, in my opinion anyway. And no one's gotten screwed up or arrested.

I think The Rocket Summer is really underrated as well... like how is he not selling millions of albums? The guy is so talented, and his music is so catchy and positive.
