You can get AFI's cover of Nine Inch Nail's "Head Like A Hole" right here (http://xxknivesout.ffasylum.com/otherstuff/headlikeahole.mp3). Post your opinions in the replies.

I thought Trent was supposed to be in that song too. I can't find him if he is.

im pretty sure trent just helped in the production of the song

AFI is fucking awesome, daveys voice sounds weird at the start but i think its a damn good song. AFI is the best band to cover this song. I wish it was a more punk rock rooted cover but it is still good especially the part where davey whispers

I agree with that. Overall the song is pretty good, not great but its decent. Good song for a video game and not an album.

Yeah, his voice sounds different than usual. Less high and whiney... I don't really like it.

This song kicks ass! I didn't really think they would pull it off, I had my doubts... Now that I think about it again, listen to the "bow down before the one you serve" part and there are two voices...

What did they do this song for was it for fun.? i dont know if i like it , this was one of my least favorite nin songs anyway..
AFI should have made it more haunting sounding instead of the original metal/industrial sound. That would have been more rad

I hope that's just a dig at the song in general and not the band (NIN)

I like it better than NIN. Its actual instruments that sound like them too!

i dont get it. when you cover a song do you try to make it sound EXACTLY like it? They should have at least tried to make it their own, rather than having davey try to pull off a cheap trent impersonation. ugh x 10

It's so faithful to the original, it might as well have not been made. They should've just put Trent's on the soundtrack. Not that either song belongs, considering the game is supposed to take place in a Compton-like city at the height of early '90s gangsta rap.

I definitely agree that it would have been cooler if it was done more in AFI's style, I think it could have had a really cool personalized twist to it. I mean, it pretty much is just Davey's voice instead of Trent's...though not even so much Davey's. I enjoyed it, though I am a NIN fan. Not the best it could have been, but still entertaining. And as for the comment about GTA:SA being set in Compton...well, Vice City was in Miami, but they didn't just have Salsa...they had a variety of stations, and they said that this game was going to, also. I'd be pissed if I was forced to listen to rap the whole game.

what the hell is this? it sucks. and I mean that in the way that means that it sounds just like the original, which is good, except bad because it is not a punk song at all, and AFI is a punk band, or at least they were. Aside from Davey, it is almost excatly the same as NIN. sad. I was pretty excited for this song too.

i dont think it sounds just like the original, the original was all made with a computer program and this one has real instruments. the bass during the first verse is great and the keyboard part being played on guitar is sick. this sounds a lot like how it does live and not like how it does on pretty hate machine. i also don't really think davey was doing a trent impression, trent has a low voice and davey sings high in a lot of the cover. i also think the beginning of the mp3 is cut off, i doubt it starts like that.

Not very AFI-y. Pretty bad.

I saw Davey at the movies a few weeks ago. He was seeing Napolean Dynomite.

The the next day, Hunter was buying Gellato on Shattuck. Berkeley is awesome.

Sorry to put a pause of the AFI lovefest going on here but this cover blows. The original song was pretty good due mainly to the industrial sound of it. AFI is ok, but this cover definetely isn't. I mean not everyone can punkafy a NiN song like Cash could.
