What group is bands do you like more, and why?

What group of bands do you like more, and why?? I have chosen random bands and put them into two groups, if you had to choose which group of bands do you like more?

for me, this is like asking if i would rather go to heaven or hell......only i don't know if nofx would ever play in heaven, haha.....the top bands have had a much more bigger impact on me being that they hit my ears during my teenage years....the bottom ones are boring in my opinion, with stereotypical voices and crappy dance beat rhythms. The only exceptions are "take this to your grave" and some songs off the new hit the lights album.

NOFX, Blink 182, Set your Goals, New found glory, Tiger Army, Fenix Tx, MxPx, Thrice, Finch, Unwritten Law, Pepper, Homegrown, The Ataris, Dropkick Murphys, The Gaslight Anthem, Less than Jake,

I like every band on this list minus Pepper. Plus Thrice, NOFX, and Tiger Army are what pushed this list over the other.

This list is descent, but it has too many bands that have been around for 5 years or less. Granted I like Fall Out Boy, Panic At The Disco, Chiodos, and Cobra Starship, the only band that's been around the longest out of that group is FOB. It's about lasting appeal I tell ya!

i like bands from both, but when you put nfg, thrice, finch, mxpx, less than jake, the ataris and blink up v.s bands like the devil wears prada, how can you choose against group 1?

its all about the bands who shaped what you listen too, granted set your goals and gaslight are not nearly on the level of influence as those mentioned before, but it still seems to be bands who influenced todays pop punk genre in comparison to bands that are results of that, like all time low and hit the lights

whether or not you like bands in group 2, theres no way to not choose group 1, unless you arent old enough to remember the effect blink, nofx, mxpx and ltj had on all this

Honestly I go with the second group. I'm not saying I don't listen to the first group, but I believe the music we listen to is effected by how we are raised. And I was raised it the 90s listening to Pearl Jam, U2, and Britney Spears. So it really just depends on that.

There are crappy bands in both groups. I like Blink, but I also like Take This To You Grave and Pretty.Odd., and everyone loves some NFG an Thrice.

But i dont like Devil Wears Prada. Screamo is horrible imo. Dont really like GCH or Chiodos either.

ummm the only bands in the first group that is HIATUS are blink 182, and homegrown. Set your goals is in the first group because they are very simailar to a lot of the bands in group one. For example: they don't suck, and their style of music is very much the same as some of the bands in group one. Group one is mostly punk type bands for the most part. Group 2 is a cluster fuck of all the bands that get waaaay to much notoriety I tried to make it a pretty fair poll because I chose bands that I love in group 1, compared to some of the biggest names in POPULAR music today!!!!

I was torn because I like bands in both and I don't like bands in both. I went with the first simply for NFG, though I think your groupings are flawed.

ATL, HTL, and FOB are closer to NFG than any other band in that second group, Chiodos and TDWP don't even seem to fit this whole thing...

This seems a lot less "random" than you claim it to be. Group one is "classic" pop-punk, and the other group is ""scene" bands you want to prove aren't as good.

the first groups because all those bands, weather i like them or not, are proven acts. they all have been around for quite some time, and dont seem like there gonna stop any time soon. half hose bands are just a flash in the pan that will be forgotten about by this time next year.

1) im not a 15 yr old girl
2) im over 18
3)all those bands bring me back to when music was good and shows were about music and not stupid antics
4) The Ataris, Finch, Homegrown, NFG, hell....everyband in that first group
5) most importantly...ALL TIME LOW IS IN THE SECOND GROUP...enough said lolol
