Who?

A quartet of 70’s rock nostalgists from the great state of Pennsylvania with a pretty cool band name.

How is it?

Good stuff. The guitar pulls through with a pretty unique prog-rock take on post punk. Sometimes it’s riffy and out of control as on “Eleven Vertebrae Necrosis” and sometimes its just hauntingly mellow like the opening to “Don’t Sacrifice Me on This Day”; whichever style, there’s something interesting about each one of these songs. Even if freakout peaks and depressing valleys aren’t your cup of tea, the fact that I can draw comparisons to King Crimson’s Red in a group with punk appeal is worth checking to make sure I’m not lying to you.

This stuff seems like it would be really cool to see live, because if there’s a flaw to be found it’s in the recording. The vocals sound sort of weird, but you get the impression it’s not the singer’s fault but the Mixcraft software the group was using. There’s just a whole lot going on, and you can tell it’s done in some dude’s basement. But these guys are full of potential, and I’m looking forward to whatever they do next.
