Was pretty stoked to find out that this was still on TV the other day. Easily one of the best cartoons of the 90's.

i just rewatched all of these over the last couple of weeks.

i hate the fourth dvd set though. changing the animation and complete layout of the show was dumb. but anything to sell more action figures.

seasons 1-3 are phenominal.

THats not the reason they did it.

THey changed it to match the new Superman style, so the shows would be more compatible since they were combining the two into an hour long program. I like the show either way. There are some things I prefer about the older animation such as the Joker Design.

Some fans refer to it as Gotham Knights but according to Bruce Timm, the official name of the series is The New Batman Adventures.

Great great great show. It's hard for me to say which episode was my favorite, I might have to go with "Heart Of Ice."

Just finished the first season last week. Loved it. They're on sale for $17.99 at Best Buy/amazon. I'm debating whether I should buy the last 2 volumes I need or buy the complete series box in November.

if you do that, i might have to agree wholeheartedly. i loved the series' take on batman, but more importantly, it made his sidekicks relevant instead of comic relief.

Loved this when I was younger. What was the name of that A.I. robot? that thing always freaked me out.

Jeez, I love this show. I watched it all the time when I was a kid. I probably had most of the action figures, too.

I was just thinking yesterday that I wanted to buy this series. I want my kids to watch it some day and witness the awesomeness that I grew up with. Also, I know not everyone loves it but I really enjoyed Batman Beyond and I think I'd like to pick that up sometime too.

I remember being very upset the first time I ever saw the animation change. I was watching and when the first character came on screen I remember shouting, "What the heck is that?" The stories however were still fairly solid. One example being "Over The Edge."

Indeed. From wikipedia:
The New Batman Adventures was produced for The WB (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_WB_Television_Network) and started almost three years after Batman: The Animated Series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_The_Animated_Series) had stopped production. The animation style was changed significantly from Batman: The Animated Series due to budgetary issues and to have the show more compatible with the smoother Superman: The Animated Series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman:_The_Animated_Series) which TNBA would eventually air in tandem with as part of The New Batman/Superman Adventures (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_Batman/Superman_Adventures), then later return to its own series again.

Great great great show. It's hard for me to say which episode was my favorite, I might have to go with "Heart Of Ice."
Absolutely. I remember watching that one over and over. "Robin's Reckoning" was also great and I always loved the "Sideshow" episode where Croc ends up with the circus freaks. The episodes where the villains were humanized were always my favorites. Also, the aforementioned "Over The Edge" episode from The New Batman Adventures was pretty exciting when I first saw it. I remember freaking out when I was watching it because they didn't reveal what was really going on until the end of the episode.

Just finished the first season last week. Loved it. They're on sale for $17.99 at Best Buy/amazon. I'm debating whether I should buy the last 2 volumes I need or buy the complete series box in November.

They had The Batman weekend on one of the cartoon channels here. I spent my Sunday watching Batman cartoons. It was awesome. But kinda scary to see how they echoed the films - well the one with Robin did.

I love Jokers Favor

Also the one where Batman goes undercover as a homeless dude then gets kidnapped, the music alone in that one makes it one of the best episodes.

"Two Face" Parts 1 & 2 were by far the best episodes from the entire series. so dark for a kids show.

Truth. I remember how bizarre it was to physically see him when I watched a "making of" featurette for Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. I kept thinking, hey it's Bruce Wayne in person.....and he looks like Willem Dafoe meets Woody Harrelson.

Yeah, I remember when people were discussing who should play who in the next Batman film and several people on different sites were saying things like Mark Hamill as The Joker. I mean I love his Joker voice and all but ehhh....
