You can read an update from Mark of Blink-182 (http://www.blink182.com) and how they've been demoing new songs here (http://bbs.artistdirect.com/showthread.php?threadid=755978).

Sweet, new demos. Hopefully one of them is the cover of The Police's "So Lonely" they talked about covering with No Doubt. Anyone know if they ever did play that cover live? It's kind of lame that Blink are always talking about how they are going to play covers like The Descendent's "Hope" at shows and end up not doing it. Be more spontaneous with your set list Blink!

I hope they kind of stray away from their last album. Dont get me wrong, I liked it, but I don't really want them to sound like that for the rest of their career. I want them to get back to faster, more straight forward shit.

Also, I never really heard anyone mention this, but on the self titled album, does anyone feel like the album had a lot more Tom than Mark. It was almost like another Boxcar Racer album. Am I the only one that feels this way.

I dont know, Self Titled was good, but not great. It was a good effort on their part to make a smarter album, and it was a smart album. But they should do what they are best at. Anyone agree?

did anyone else notice that the ending riff of easy target that goes into the main riff of all of this is very very similar to a riff on "the end with you" from BCR? or is it jsut me

I noticed this, I think everyone noticed it. I love Mark but I always liked Tom's songs more.

I lthink that both mark and tom compliment each other, if there is too much of one then the album is off tilt. Thats how I felt about Self Titled, I thought it was off balance because of the lack of mark, hence it didnt really feel like a blink album.

I completely agree. Although I liked the last album, it did seem like Tom dominated the album a bit too much, especially since Mark's voice is better. I love it when Mark and Tom go back and forth with the vocals, like with "Pathetic" and "Stockholm Syndrome." They have good chemistry.

Speaking of voices, did anyone else watch the blink video at punkrockvids.com or see them perform at pepsi smash? From the video, it seems like Tom must have recovered from the horrible rash in his throat that made it so he couldn't sing worth a shit.
