I find it kinda funny how all non-americans would love to vote Bush out of office if they could. seems to me like only part of America likes Bush after everything he's done.. which is all that matters in the end I guess, since they're the only ones who can vote.

If I were 18, I'd vote Kerry. Its the lesser of two evils. Bush has done nothing but fuck up everything awesome Clinton did. Reagan/Bush Sr left a huge national debt. Clinton left a huge surplus. Where did Dubya put us? At least twice more in debt than we were at the end of Daddy's run as President. We had respect from diplomats around the world before Dubya came around and while no one really minded the invasion on Afghanistan(I'm not against this war), decided to invade Iraq while we were at it to find WMD's which, wouldn't you know it, didn't ever show up. He was just finishing what Daddy couldn't. And now the entire world thinks we're warhungry imperialists. Sweet Bush. The only positive thing you've ever, ever done, was the way you dealt with 9/11. That was respectable. But how about the tax cuts for your rich buddies? $2 gas? Inflation on everything else? Rising unemployment? This economy sucks, and it's your fault, because everything was good under Clinton.
Oh, by the way, you guys better not bring up Clinton and Lewinsky. I don't care if he was the President or not, even the President needs pussy sometimes, and I know if you were him, you would NOT want play from Hillary. End of story.

There is declining unemployment, the economy has been growing at rates that haven't been seen in twenty years - thanks to the tax cuts, and the $2 gas first off it's summer gas prices always go up, and if you think that's bad if Kerry gets elected he is going to enforce a gas tax, so that $2 is going to be more like $2.50.

Yeah...its summer and that's when gas prices go up...which would explain why my parents paid(I didn't get my own car until a month ago) over $2.15 a gallon over the winter/spring and I'm paying $1.98 or so right now. And I guess that last winter gas prices were relatively low and then after the Iraq invasion they just climbed and climbed and climbed because it was summer? Right.
The economy is growing at rates that haven't been seen in twenty years because it, during most of Bush's reign, was the lowest it had been since this little time period known as the Great Depression. It's OK though, let's vote for Bush again! Let's hear it for "hanging chads"

Well in the winter i was paying 1.55 and I only pay 1.79 now. But I live where gas is lowest in the country.
Secondly, Bush inherited a recession from Clinton and than 9/11 spun that out of control, that had a huge effect on the economy. But to build it back after that unforseeable event that turned the economy upside down thats very commendable.

The thing that we have to worry about is the international community. While I respect bush for standing by his decisions, something that Kerry does not seem to grasp, the rest of the world hates Bush, and even if he does have some great ideas, which is arguable, only the British and the Israelis would support him. Seriously, Bush could come up with a foolproof plan for world peace, an end to world hunger, and the cure for AIDs and the rest of the world would still hate him.

When your in that high of a position of power though, setting the course for your country, you need to have the ability to take a stand, even if it is unpopular with your party, you have to do the thing that you believe is the right thing to do.
It seems to me, Kerry just does things for political gain. If elected, he wont really care about what hes doing for the country as much as he'll care about his approval rating.

very true.
I do agree with 13th hour though. Ofcourse Kerry is flip-flopping for political gain. Which may be the same reason the Bush administration is saying there's no link between Al-quida and Saddam. He's trying to duck heat so he looks better when November rolls around.
Plus Bush thinks homosexuals marrying will dissolve American families. That's reason enough.

One doesn't need flawless diction to be an effective President. Some of the wisest people I've ever heard are the product of Southern or Midwestern upbringing, and lack the rhetoric that is esteemed by snobbish scholars as the only right way to speak. Not only that, but President Bush's grammar is FAR from horrible. Maybe if your exposure to him is isolated to a Bush-isms Day Calendar, then you will be under the impression that every other line he spouts is filled with mangled rhetoric. It's really not the case, these quotes have been culled from years of quotes he has made.
Not only that, but some of these (such as "A West Texas girl, just like me") are not wrongly spoken, just misunderstood. And as for "I'm honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein," am I wrong to assume that the man has another hand?

all right, i'll admit that "not acceptable" is perhaps a bit too aggressive of a statement (well, technically, an adjectival phrase, but we won't get into that) on my part.
yes, everyone makes grammar mistakes. i know that bad grammar is not a sign of studitiy, or vice versa. i know many people with horrible grammar but are very astute and clever people.
i personally find it inexcusable for a yale and harvard grad (admitted supposedly on his high level of academics and intelligence?) and THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES to make mistakes like that in the public. but that's my opinion so we can leave that out.
i wouldn't mind a president that made silly mistakes, bushisms, quayleisms, whatever you want to talk about, as long as he was a good president. or an honest one at least. one, perhaps, who didn't lie about the fact that he was once arrested for drunk driving.
