What are other good bands like set your goals/daggermouth/ four year strong? whenever you search for stuff it comes up with the same old "similar artists" like new found glory, the movielife, saves the day. I want bands that arent on mtv lol

A Day to Remember pretty much fits the whole 'hardcore/pop punk' label. So does Fight Fair.

I'd assume you want more 'punk' oriented bands, but you listed Four Year Strong so I guess those bands fit in.

And to the dude above, No Trigger is sawweettttt. More people should check them out.

I hear this fucking a day to remember fuck band always jocked as this pop punk hardcore crossover shit, and I always go and listen to them and then realize how fucking Victory Records pastery garbage their music is.

Their music does not fall under pop punk, nor is it close or relevant to hardcore, it's some rock music trying to be commercialized. Yeah they might play one open chord in a blue moon, tune their guitars high, have auto tuned high vocals and retarded low screams/growls, but none of that fucking garbage constitutes as either being

a. good
or
b. pop punk/hardcore

If you were to catch them live the whole 'hardcore' part is a little more apparent. Jeremy doesn't even bother with the highs most of the time live.

So...they pull in mainstream fuckwads with their accessibly radio rock oriented music, and then they completely do the opposite at their shows? Sounds like a phoned in money maker to me.

I'm pretty sure this is because their singer probably isn't very good so he can't recreate the pop parts live, thus relies on "hardcore".

I wouldn't attack them on it. They've been doing this sort of thing even before they blew up and everyone finally heard of them. I personally think the fact that they can both bring in the pop punk kids and the hardcore kids equally is quite impressive.

The only money making scheme is for their label to take a joke cover song and make them shoot a music video for it and then push all the more 'poppy' songs down everyones throats.
