ive waited a LONG time for this and boy was i not disappointed. id like to thank dave and the boys for a wonderful evening. he said they were gonna play for as long as they could and boy did they, oer 2 and a half hours.
-let it die
-pretender
-times like these
-no way back (nice surprise)
-learn to fly
-cheer up boys
-young man blues (who cover)
-long road to ruin
-breakout
-stacked actors (jam went on for what felt like days. they jammed, then solo'd, then taylor beat the shit out of the drums for a good 5 minutes, then the band came back solo'd more and then finished the song, it was sick as hell but a little drawn out)
----------------------
-skin and bones
-marigold
-my hero
-intros/solos (triangle solo, then they made one of their crew members who reallllly had no desire to do a michael jackson dance)
-cold day in the sun
------------------------
-everlongggggggg
-monkey wrench
-all my life (he pulled a jesse lacey, this guy kept yelling for tiny dancer by elton john and he goes "this song's called tiny dancer")
-------------encore-----------------
-big me
-bargain (who cover with supergrass singer like on rock honors)
-best of you
incredibly sick show. dave was hilarious. before the encore they had a camera on the set list and then dave and taylor were there and they were getting the crowd to cheer for the amount of encore songs they'd play.
i was right up front on the floor which was sick, and at one point these guys behind me were going to fight and dave stopped skin and bones to talk them down, it was pretty cool of him.
all and all not a disapointment. absolutely phenominal

i guess that's the only thing different from the cleveland show then. they did a 5 song encore at the pittsburgh show and played generator and aurora in addition to the 3 they've been doing at most shows-i'm slightly jealous

wow i totally forgot about generator and aurora at the show, those are fucking great songs, im jealous, i think id rather see those than the who songs that are on vh1 every day

Same boring setlist as always (sigh). Why does Dave never feel the need to switch it up? And is everyone really that into the "Stacked Actors" jam?

I saw them last October and they played almost the same set but there was no Young Man Blues and they also played I'll Stick Around and This Is a Call

the stacked actors stuff is cool but its too long. and i didnt give a fuck what they played, it was my first time seeing them (theyve never been to buffalo and toronto sold out with against me! on the bill). i thought the show was pretty damn good
and i think theres a couple reasons for no big set changes ever. green day did the smae thing on their american idiot tour. they're arena shows, so people come to see the hits. also, theres a lot of theatrics involved, the light show, the video monitors and stuff, they probably have them set up a certain way to make it easier for the crew and everyone involved
they need to work DOA back into the setlist

I was at this show, and I agree with you. It was incredible. Dave was a riot (Tiny Dancer bit and making fun of the kid with the 'Nate is a wizard' sign) and was totally rocking out the whole time. Great set, as well. I also thought Supergrass were great openers. Awesome, awesome show.

They did "This Is A Call" on their co-headlining tour with Weezer a few years back. Shit was fucking awesome.

Ahhh!
I saw them last year with Against Me!, and some opener.
Seriously, I cried. I wasn't even close or anything, but the boys put on a PHENOMENAL show.
They played every song I hoped for. AHHH (L)

You can ditch All My Life, Everlong, Times Like these, Learn To Fly, Best Of You, My Hero and Monkeywrench as I've heard those all to death.
In their place:
Good Grief
Watershed
My Poor Brain
