hey i was wonderin what you think are the best punk musicians?

vocals - bj armstrong, matt skiba, jesse from op ivy, john lydon (that guy is a fuckin god) and brody dalle (bitch but sexy)

gitarist - tim armstron (or lint) chris from ltj (his ska bits are awesome) and i think both of the nfg gitarists are great, bj armstrong again

bass - matt freeman, roger from ltj

drums - tre cool, travis, and john kiffenmeyer (green days drummer who drummed in 39 smooth and who tre cool replaced)
ill probably think of summore but no one jumps out at me at the moment.

hmmm best vocalist, Jesse Lacey,Vin Accardi,Brian Lane i dont think jesse would be as good without the other two.and vinnie from the movielife and i am the avalanche.
guitarist yeah Chad Gilbert and Steve Klein from nfg are really good, we're talking just sort of punky yeah? cause otherwise you can just say jimi hendrix and leave it at that:afro:

matt freeman and andrew jackson,who was from a british band called joe ninety but now is in a group called the dauntless elite his bass playing is amazing
drums, travis barker and actaully chuck from simple plan hes a really good drummer

In most of the music I listen to, songwritting as a whole(melodies and lyrics) seem to be more important than actual musical talent for instance Matt Skiba and Billie Joe are very good songwriters, but musically speaking aren't the greatest guitarists.
Songwriters-Matt Skiba, Billie Joe, Matt Embre(very good overall musician), and Chris from Saves the Day.
Vocals- Jason Gleason, Gabe Saporta
Guitar-Teppi from thrice, whoever the lead guitarist was for the benjamins
Bass-Dan from Alkaline Trio
Drums-Travis Barker and Spitalfield's Drummer

As a whole band I would say thrice is the most talented in this general genre of music, all of them are very solid musicians.

Who in the hell put noodles and billie joe in the guitarists list. I could maybe understand if they just are going on whether they like the person or not, but on talent they pretty much play nothing but power chords. I could probably play every one of Green Day and the Offspring's songs on guitar, and I play bass. They don't deserve to be in the same list as Teppei and Chris, that's for sure. Come on...
