I don't think Starship Troopers is a bad film. Most reviewers including Empire gave it 4 stars if not 5. It was really clever because it was parodying action movies and being satirical on American militaryism, and governments response to disaster, hence the whole 'how did a bug hit earth with a comet?' and then they are at war with a planet where they are the invading aliens. For a pre 9/11 action film it is visionary.

S.W.A.T.! What a mediocre but awesome movie. It has everything I could ask for in a $2.99 bargain bin purchase - Colin Farrell emoting, Samuel L. Jackson playing Samuel L. Jackson, LL Cool J being ridiculous, Michelle Rodriquez being manlier than everyone else, an actor from Sports Night, a 13 mile sniper shot to take out a helicopter, hundreds of gangsters, "one meeeellliooonnnnnn dollllarrsssss!!!!!!", and a lot of fun in between.

Plus it features strangely good action scenes.

Neither Airplane or Dog Soldiers desrve to be on this list. They are both good films. Granted neither of them are the most sophisticated of movies, but they're both decent movies.

Yeah he does rap in it. It sucks. But it's hilarious, it's like his attempt at doing Rebel Without A Cause like being a badass who falls in love. Only he sucks and his lines to woo the chick include 'drop that zero and get with the hero'.
