Useless Division (http://uselessdivision.com/useless%20division/main.html) has posted a new video. I think this is one of the best videos I have ever seen. If you get a chance, check out Zella Mayzell (http://www.purevolume.com/zellamayzell/). Post your comments after you watch it if you like...

the middle of it was really funny at points with the screaming, jumping, and swinging. the ending fell flat on its face though.

over all it was pretty well done.

parts of that video were funny, but just because they made fun of the taking back sunday bands doesn't mean they aren't just as tired and unoriginal.

I thought the video was awesome... when the director made the mic swinging actions... solid gold.

Hey everyone,

I am the director of that video for the band Zella Mayzell. I wanted to take some time and space to explain a little about what our intentions were in making the video (in response to some previous posts).

The concept doesn’t exist to make fun of the bands that swing their microphones or the guitarists that do "bro jumps" every second. The concept is making fun of the managers, executives, producers, and directors that believe certain things have to be in place in order to make a band successful. Usually, those "certain things" are styles and attitudes that these people have seen before from other bands.

It's about people who are in positions of authority, feeling like they must replicate something that's been proven to be successful once- instead of letting bands and artists just be who they are, even if they don't have the best style and roundhouse kicks.

It's not about the bands it's about the mindset behind wanting to create something false in order to escape vulnerability and honesty (which can be a scary thing).

All of the members of Zella love Taking Back Sunday and certain "Screamo" bands. Don't take the video as an insult to those bands; take it as an insult to anyone who has a fear of originality.

Thanks for your time!

Have you directed any other videos?

yes, you can check out a video I did for armor for sleep at my website www.andrewpaulbowser.com or at www.equalvision.com in the download section for their song "My Town".

Also at my site and at www.butchwalker.com I did a video for his song "Mixtape".

i love the way you directed butch walker's video, for a low budget work it came out amazingly well - i really like the light and angles you use. as for your zella mayzell video, i picked up on the concept right away. it was a nice twist having you guys perform and also portray the industry execs.
