hi.
just wondering, has anyone seen the boston beatdown dvd?
its about the boston hardcore scene...... alot of crazy live stuff in it but, theres this funny scene in it where moby gets chased down the street by some people at a show..... it was worth it just to see that!

Great so Boston hardcore kids are beating up 5' tall bald white men. That makes them sooo hardcore.

The BBD is a documentary that focuses on the violence in the hardcore scene. Whether or not you believe that violence is integrated into hardcore, it's not just a bunch of fight scenes arranged together for kids to get a kick out of. Personally, I respect the work kids put into it, but I can't bring myself to pay to see the shit that bums me out at hardcore shows. I see shirts with "Support Your Local Fistfight" and "FSU" at shows all the time. Okay, I'm from Boston, I like hardcore. And frankly, I'm tired of having people associate me with that tough guy violence you see in that DVD. The BBD wasn't made to promote fighting or violence, and it sure wasn't made for (in the words of Blood for Blood) the crooked-heart white boy limp bizkit jerkoffs to feel hard to.

you're correct. fsu was a big deal in my town at one point. i'm not so sure if it is anymore.
