I uploaded a hi-res version of the new Straylight Run album cover here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/mm/displayimage.php?pos=-2015).

I think Mr.Starving Eyes does some of the best album artwork I've seen. He's up there with SINC, at least to me anyways.

That's because they're made by the same guy. www.starvingeyes.com

Also, TBS' new songs "I Am Fred Astair" and "One Eighty By Summer" make allusions to two Straylight demo songs that are mysteriously enough... the only ones missing from the track listing! Coincidence? I don't think so. It's almost like they don't want to start anything. But then they went and change "Waiting For You" to "Your Name Here" and the album as well. I believe there's alot more animosity between these two bands than originally thought.

Some may tell me i'm overly observant but the song "slowdance on the inside" is about michelle and John. Ive heard this from numerous people who are friends with Adam (I live in the same area Adam grew up). If you listen closely (like i do) the drum beat in the beginning of "slowdance..." is the same exact drum beat that is in "mistakes we knew we were making" by Straylight Run. This beat is very technical bc Will rolls on the snare drum a certain way and a certian amount of times...TBS' drummer does it EXACTLY the same. Hell, the title "slowdance on the inside" was even created by john when he was in the band. Adam also says "im boring like his songs"...is this a shot at straylights songs? Sorry if it seems like im trying to stir up drama and controversy, I'm just pointing out what I have noticed and heard.

I also no "a decade under the influence" is about Adam recently quitting alcohol

the words from the beg. of that song are borrowed from 'brand new' too .. and the drums are prolly the same because the same drummer did record both of um.. i could care less about this junk now, certain people like the drama, and then have the nerve to call us a tabloid.. :lipsrseal --that line "im boring like his songs" really, really, really bothers me tho, especially if the band continues to sing 'his' written songs (if they really are talking about john, i have no idea - and am speculating like the rest of you) - as for adam and drinking, he appears to be pouring some alchohol in their teenbeat interview - my sister commented on it actually. and she wondered why they were in an article on selling out, in teenbeat. (she cracks me up)

either way ... i know who is reading this: AND I LIKE THE BAND, so tell them that instead of all the "meanthings" you feed them i say.

Yah Mark recorded the drum parts for "Mistakes" as well as "Exostentialism" when he was thinking of leaving with John and Shaun. I'm sure the album versions will have new Will Noon style beats. Also everyone needs to realize that most of the long island bands from this time had what they called a "lyric pool" TBS, Brand New, Glassjaw, Movielife etc. So they arent stealing it was their way of showing unity in a sense, there was an interview a while back where Jesse states all this. Even little lines like "are you turned on" were in the mix.

I heard that John's mom stole part of a recipe for cookies from Jesse's mom by the way. Its all out war between Mrs. Lacey and Mrs. Nolan. They're both starting bands too. Pass it on. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

i also just noticed in "slow descent" john says " that made those stupid songs all worth singing........." than in "slowdance on the inside" Adam says " I'm boring like his songs...."......hmmmm? what u guys think about that?

Then why don't the movielife and/or glassjaw and/or brand new share any particular lines?

I have also read about this "lyric pool" in an interview in a local magazine named "Under the volcano". In the interview adam also explains how they named the songs off of TAYF- Have you ever seen the channel on your TV that has all the show listings for that particular time? Well they randomly picked channels and times and used whatever program was on for the title of the songs. Im guessing "Timberwolves and New Jersey" were playing against each other the night Adam picked that song title.

p.s.- im pretty sure the ''pool' involved smaller local bands from around the area and not bigger bands like gj, fata, movielife etc. bc than copyright and publishing
conflicts come in. Thats just my guess though.
