Fear Before The March of Flames is generic screamo.

And the other bands they have signed recently aren't even close to metal or screamo. The Snake The Cross The Crown is one of the best pop rock groups around.

I hate using the term too that's why I save it for such shitty bands like Fear Before The March of Flames. Every song of theirs is the same formula. Sing a verse, then scream the chorus, and then throw in a little breakdown towards the end of the song. Same old boring shit.

If you look beyond the fact they sign those bands, you can see that Equal Vision has some kick ass bands. Coheed and Cambria, The Snake The Cross The Crown, Armor For Sleep, Alexisonfire, and recently signed VAUX, they are all good bands.

equal vision is/was a hardcore label, i don't see how you think FBTMOF doesn't fit in with their "style"....

EVR is going down the shitter. I'm tired of them signing the same old kinds of bands to fill the void of This Day Forward, Converge, and Coheed.

They havent been a hardcore label for a while now.

It's hard to believe they went from stuff like Trial and Shelter to shit like Armor For Sleep.

Other good bands like TDF and Give Up The Ghost broke up, Converge left, and Bane probably won't be there for much longer.

Jacob from Converge said they left because they felt the label was going in a different direction.

I'm pretty sure I saw Fear Before... live multiple times and they have about 5 words that are sung. And they only have one song that actually has a whole verse sung on the cd, and they never play that song live. I'm also pretty sure you can't label the band as generic screamo because there are A LOT of smart indie kids like yourself who like this band and there new cd will probably be a lot better then the old one. The end.
